Marxist (Left) socialism and National (Right) Socialism are "antipodal zeitgeists engaged in dialectic". That's a fancy way to say they're opposite ideologies designed to clash, like Yin and Yang.
NatSoc was fundamentally an ideology built around race, while Marxist socialism was entirely different: built around class. Hitler aimed to unite the right and left, including workers and their bosses, into a new German nation based on racial identity. Socialism, in contrast, was a class war between workers, bosses, and owners (Capitalists), aiming to build a workers state in which race and gender were insignificant. Socialists, especially Marxist socialists, were anti-religious atheists, whereas NatSoc went so far as to make Christianity the religion of the state.
The differences go on and on: Marxist socialism was internationalist, NatSoc was nationalist. Marxist socialism was egalitarian, whereas NatSoc believed that nature was unequal and required competition. Marxist socialism wanted to nationalize all private industry, while NatSoc privatized every major industry except the railroads (it considered these a military asset. In fact, Hitler once joked "they didn't need to nationalize property because they nationalized people". NatSoc drew on a range of pan-German theories, which wanted to blend Aryan workers and Aryan magnates into a super Aryan state, which would involve the eradication of class-focused socialism as a non-German ideology.

It's also worth noting that they increased government control over the private sector by a considerable amount. In fact the goal of Nazi privatization was the exact opposite of the neo-liberalism of the '80s.

But NatSoc is always in favor of the Volk over economic identity, of "producer capitalism" over "finance capitalism".

The nazis were originally the German Worker's Party but added the National Socialist bit because socialism was popular at the time. generally, the "true" socialist elements were purged with Strasser in the night of long Knives. NatSoc's socialism came to be welfare for for the disabled and incapable and some workers rights legislation (paid vacation and worker's comp). Other than that, they opened a bunch of voluntary charities with "strong suggestions" to donate (if you didn't they posted your name on a wall). By and large their actions were concerned with bettering the lot of the German people as a whole, they didn't denounce personal initiative or success, but at the same time they didn't abide misers.

Fundamentally, it doesn't matter. You can't start from Libertarianism, then make the conditions for it; ie, you can't use libertarianism to "remove the elements that subvert libertarianism". Once we have ethnostates, and they're secure as such, then we can have libertarianism, since its natural to European man to be libertarian. Natsoc/fascism are the means to get there. The only question is, are libertarians too autistic to comprehend that.
That's what i'm getting at, theres even a quote by a libertarian author where he says something along the lines of, "a period of fascism may be necessary to create the conditions necessary to support a truly free society." The thing I'm saying is that we shouldn't be attacking libertarians, by and large, the right-wing libertarians want something quite similar to us, we just have dissension on the means of getting there. A libertarian system might be a better means of organizing the end-society, as the people posses both the agency and intelligence to make it work, its just that libertarianism possesses neither the strength towards adversity nor the motivational vigor to achieve that end state.

what I'm getting at is that the best you can find in Libertarianism is the bashful admission of the obvious, with the lukewarm predicate "might be necessary". It's not a question, it's not "up in the air": you can use libertarian means to make the conditions for libertarian society, and once you have them in place, it's naive to think things will stay that way. Human history is an eternal bloodbath; unless Europids find a planet and colonize it with their genetic relatives, there will never be a permanent set of conditions for true/pure libertarianism. It's astounding that some of the most intelligent libertarians can, at best, mumble the admission that fascism is necessary in a world of savage brutality. Libertarianism only makes practical sense inside a strong state; within it's polar opposite. That should tell you everything you need to know about how grounded in reality libertarianism actually is.

Here we are, you're definitely right about them having their heads in the clouds, they're idealists to the fault. but that idealism was something distinctly European, a distillation of some of the most unique concepts to ever arise on the Earth, egalitarianism and personal liberty. Something that only ever, and only ever could, exist within Europe. At its core, I can't hate the concept when applied to a single nation, but to attempt to syncretize it with Africans or South Americans is almost comedic naivete. The best thing to do with libertarians is just show them facts about populations and race realism, they generally grow disillusioned and begin to realize that, sometimes, a little bit of force is ok.

I've always seen them as equivalent to marxists in a way. in that their ideology is based on an a-priori moral imperative, for the marxists, absolute equality and for the libertarians, absolute freedom. The redeeming aspects of libertarianism is that absolute freedom is actually a possibility in a healthy society and that they are willing to make concessions to maximize the freedom they can achieve. Marxists on the other hand, are driven by a flat-out ignorance of, and unwillingness to accept, reality.

That's what Chomsky argues, that Libertarians are the original "true liberals", and even connects it to Marxism. Chomsky was where I learned that Marx plagiarized Charles Comte and Charles Dunoyer, two famous liberal theorists.
