The Decapitated of today is hardly the same band as the old Decapitated lad. You can't deny that Decapitated up until their accident and new line-up were riffmasters and one of the best things to come out of technical brutal death metal.

I always liked heavy music and maybe the subliminal messages are now why I am 1488.
I used to love bands like metallica and pantera (in fact, justice for all is next on my playlist), but when it comes right down to it, one must stop and consider the effects of such music on one's soul. Sometimes it feels good to have it scratched, but too much metal can leave it raw. Then again, scratching was just what 14-20 yo me needed. I'm 29 now, and classical constitutes most of my listening time. In particular, furniture-music man and mozart, mostly anything symphonic, because unlike the harsh twangs and crunches of metal, there is the low attack, slow onset of bows on hair with 500 yo mahogany.
