>President Trump tweeted on Tuesday: "The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington?"
>Meanwhile, US House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, also Republican, told reporters on Tuesday he wanted to investigate the leaks that led to Mr Flynn's resignation. He also said the FBI should explain why Mr Flynn's conversation had been recorded.
Why are leaks the problem and not the illegal actions they uncover again?
>Russia: Lift sanctions >Flynn: Talk to the president >MSM: You talked to Russia about sanctions >OP: Flynn had an illegal conversation these lies are getting old
Jace Reed
You want everyone you know and that you work with leaking everything? Wth are you on about?
Christopher Turner
The whole meeting with a foreign diplomat as a private citizen to discuss policy, and probably a million other examples.
Jackson Hall
1. Specify what Flynn said that was in violation of the law 2. Specify what law Flynn is allegedly violating. Also, Flynn is a Democrat
Ethan Sanchez
A man's out of a job for a reason, and the FBI is probably going to ask him to testify.
Ryan Evans
It's the fallacy of attacking the messenger/ad hominem, instead of addressing the message.
Adrian Morgan
That's my point. It's like they are condemning the fact they got caught, not what they were doing was wrong. I don't see how this is seen as justifiable as policy.
Dems and Pubs do it alike.
Angel Roberts
>as a US citizen you can't talk to people in other countries Where do you get this interpretation of the law? Is this something (((CNN))) told you?
Nathaniel Hughes
Use your (((((((((((brain)))))))))))) dipshit. If you don't recognize the potential for his actions to be in his best personal interest, but not the United States as a whole, you may just be tarded. We will find out soon enough when the FBI squeezes him, but a national security advisor meeting with foreign diplomats to discuss future policy before actually holding that position is illegal. It isn't an exaggeration (like 99.9% of the time) to call it potentially treasonous.
>reason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
If Flynn was making deals with Russia to guide policy in the Trump adminstration, that's really really bad.
Daniel Phillips
the message is literally a smear, there's no proof of any crime, they even report "its not unusual for this communications to happen"
Angel Fisher
The man stepped down for a reason. If it was a smear with no substance, this wouldn't have happened. The FBI has something...
Mason Lewis
>If Flynn was making deals with Russia to guide policy in the Trump adminstration, that's really really bad.
What deals exactly? "Don't let this nigger start WW3 before we take office" seems like a kosher deal to me, bro.
Andrew Long
>The man stepped down for a reason. No he didn't. Trumps trust in him had eroded after he lied to pence and others in the administration and he asked him to resign which he did.
The DoJ tipped off the whitehouse to the possibility of these phone calls, the white house investigated and once it had been determined he had not violated the Logan act or any other laws firing him wasn't necessary, instead Donald decided he was more harm then good and asked for his resignation.
Honestly this is such low energy shilling I'm mad at myself for being baited into responding
Ryan Bell
I don't pretend to know, but whatever they discussed was damning enough that Flynn lied to Pence about it and the FBI wants a few words with the man.
Adrian Johnson
>the white house investigated That's a conflict of interest. An independent investigation is required, which will kindly be provided by the FBI. Even many (not all) top Pubs are calling for an investigation.
Oliver Miller
You can't negotiate as a private citizen but you can talk about foreign policy, otherwise we'd all be arrested for posting here fuckwit
Sebastian Gonzalez
>illegal actions they uncover again What were the illegal actions?
Julian Richardson
>suddenly the FBI is credible again. >when CNN went so far out of their way to discredit the FBI when hillary was under investigation. >even going so far as to say the Director of the FBI should resign.
Carter Barnes
What illegal actions? How the hell do you talk to Russia and say nothing about the tantrum-sanctions?
William Rodriguez
Of course you can negotiate as a private citizen. How the fuck you think businesses set up shop in other countries?
Brandon Perry
Don't bother, he already said he didn't know.
Pretty much blew the entire premise of the thread.
Adam Diaz
Why even bother posting this on Sup Forums? This is a Trumptard echo chamber, facts are not welcome here.
Robert Ortiz
>The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation. Now go away
Benjamin Gonzalez
Hey moron, double look at this:>> and then kill yourself for being so stupid.
Logan Davis
Flynn was working closely with Trump during the election cycle, and during the time the conversations took place was in the middle of the summer when Trump was already the republican front runner. He then spoke with a foreign diplomat at that time belonging to a country that had already been in the news for essentially information warfare during the election.
To liken that to people posting on a chinese cartoon form is fuckwittery to the 11th dimension, leaf. (and fellow burger). Jesus you people need to learn to form a better argument.
>The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation. Mitch McTurtle, the most senior republican in congress. Great source. Can totally trust him.
Thomas Stewart
Because it's not a crime if Trump does it.
Bentley Thomas
Well, Trump hasn't been fingered (yet), but he's really going to test the mettle of that statement, or autistically screech at the meanies when he finds out it's not bulletproof.
Grayson Taylor
yet here your nigger ass is
Juan Howard
is this against the law?
Wyatt White
>HUR DUR MUH RUSSIA > RUSSIA BAD BECUASE CNN SIAD SO!! Fuck off Russia is our ally. They are helping Remove Marxists and the fucking cuckold neo-cons. RUSSIA is fighting Globalism so is Trump. You want globalism shove it up your ass. Globalism is satanic. Nationalism has won.
Brandon Watson
It is not. It is totally preposterous. Meeting up with a foreign minister before an inauguration is not against the law. However the reason he steeped down is he did not tell the vice president right away. That's why.
Hudson Howard
>Mitch McTurtle, the most senior republican in congress. Great source. Can totally trust him. >I don't trust him because...I don't wanna Who even said anything about Mitch McConnell
Josiah Nelson
>However the reason he steeped down is he did not tell the vice president right away Swallow that swill, cuck. Clearly you are gullible enough. Why didn't he want to tell Pence? Riddle me that.
I know Mitch sidestepped the issue as not being important. Who are you saying said it wasn't important. Pro Tip: if it came from the WH it isn't trustworthy because they have a conflict of interest. It needs to come from a different source.
Aaron Kelly
It's gonna be fun watching those dominoes fall. Later bois!
I assume the WH doesn't have anything to do with this investigation
Joshua Perez
>cuck Look at yourself in the fucking mirror cuck faggot.
You voted for Hillery who was a globalist establishment. You aught to be dubbed a traitor. You are the biggest hypocrite in the entire fucking planet. You did not bitch at Hillary for taking foreign donations or be in contact with countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar who fund terrorists like ISIS who throw gays off buildings and turn children into sex slaves. Muslims are our fucking enemy so is Saudi Arabia.
Colton Bell
>If Flynn was making deals with Russia to guide policy in the Trump adminstration, that's really really bad.
all based on the fraud that claims Russia hacked the DNC to sway the election
Because they're selectively choosing what to leak and what not to leak, in order to damage a specific politician. It's the intelligence agencies openly revolting against the President.
Jaxson Mitchell
*choosing, not "selectively choosing"
Apologies, a little drunk
Alexander Davis
This.
CIA needs to be disbanded. FBI and DOJ need to be restructured, everyone in positions of real authority need a lifetime ban from federal service. Generals need to be purged.
Ian Lewis
It's hard to believe that this wasn't part of the plan.
Benjamin Smith
Oh NOW you want to care about the Logan Act?
Absolutely fucking hilarious.
Zachary Allen
>discuss future policy before actually holding that position is illegal
not according to first amendment.
Thats why the Logan Act hasnt been enforced since the day it was created 200 years ago.
Angel Morales
Russia isn't our enemy, faggot. And no, talking to them before taking office isn't illegal. If it was, every administration is guilty. It happens literally every time. Go be a kike shill somewhere else.
Benjamin Fisher
Fantastic.
So diplomats running guns to ISIS is fine. Accepting bribes from foreign governments in return for access to US State Department resources is fine. Killing US citizens without due process is fine. Incoming politicians talking to Russians about potential future policy is treasonous and illegal.
Fucking fantastic. The brain of a leftist, everyone.
Wyatt Reyes
Not to mention the >I can be more flexible after the election Shit that Obama pulled with Putin.
I'm glad everyone forgot that one.
Christian Rodriguez
The media has controlled what people hear and remember for a long time. They are treacherous rats who need to be thrown into the sea from Trump Force One.
Juan Thompson
>The First Amendment protects the right to make unauthorized contacts with foreign intelligence agencies
WEW LAD
Ryan Green
Kek speaks. Praise him.
Elijah Davis
It's almost like Obama was the President at the time.
Isaac Taylor
Still waiting to see actual illegal actions be named.
Spoiler: Nothing illegal happened.
Jace Ward
A few reasons OP.
1.) NSA was spying on calls of a private citizen (Flynn wasn't in his post pre-inaugural).
2.) NSA was recording content of calls. They're not supposed to be doing that. Remember meta data? Remember them telling the American people "we aren't listening to your phone calls". Well apparently they are.
3.) NSA released this information which is illegal. So wiretapping flynn was illegal, and releasing that publicly was also illegal. The fact this may have been politically motivated effectively makes the NSA a stasi or police state like apparatus who answers to no one.
Chase Russell
make sure u only respond to these threads by typing a sage in this field
like so:
sage
and by typing a sage in the options field just above this field
that way these retards get no bumps, and nothing of actual importance is slid
or simply do not respond at all because this is a troll post by op made explicitly to get a response
or type some sort of response to a (you) then type sage right after
Lincoln Bennett
But he had not been elected to his second term, which means he was negotiating policy unaware of his future position. There was a decent chance that he wouldn't have been the president after the election. He didn't have a mandate to negotiate that far in the future, by your logic.
Jack Moore
1. & 2. They were spying on the Russians, so its technically legit.
3. The NSA didn't do shit, the Obama political appointees leaked shit. Which if they are caught they can be prosecuted under the Espionage act.
4. No improper or illegal behavior has been reported.
Josiah Campbell
it affords the right of private citizens to talk to who ever the fuck they like.
you got evidence a crime happened?
The Logan Act is a dead letter. It would be struck down if they ever used it.
Ethan Lopez
>He also said the FBI should explain why Mr Flynn's conversation had been recorded.
If he said that he's a fucking retard. They already said they bugged the Russian Ambassador not Flynn. They only heard Flynn because he fucking called him like a dumbshit.
>pulling shit out ur ass 101
Bentley Williams
Again Flynn wasn't negotiating, he stated that once the administration took office sanctions would be reviewed.
Logan Hernandez
>implying that the NSA would violate someone's Constitutional rights
Ayden Bailey
You're a victim of fake news buddy
Leo Gonzalez
Sources of Flynn behaving improperly or illegally.
You got nothing friendo.
Nathan Ward
I'm aware, I'm saying that either Flynn AND Obama are traitors or neither of them are for this specific reason.
Grayson Rodriguez
Libshits/Comey said the same thing about the law that HRC violated. "HURR NOBODY's even been charged with this 100 year old law."
Dylan Smith
IDK. I was asking the same thing of the Dems a few months back with the wikileaks dump. I mean, accurate leaks about illegal activity in all levels of the party, and a few as of yet unexplained, very disturbing emails, and the only thing the Dems cared about was Russia. So again, IDK, maybe turnabout fair play??? Ya fuckin cuck!
Easton Campbell
He's resigning because he either:
1)Lied to the President/Pence. 2)The Admin lied on his behalf, and is now sacrificing him as a scapegoat. 3)One of the above and he gave something to the Russians but they haven't told us what yet. >Pick one
How the fuck are you people so dense?
Austin Carter
>releasing classified info >nobody ever charged >not Snowden >not Manning
Its like your a complete retard. Thousands of people been charged for releasing classified information going back to the Revolutionary War.
Isaiah Stewart
The action wasn't illegal according to intelligence officials. Flynn was fired because he lied to Pence.
The media bonanza is all about "BUT WHAT IF TRUMP IS COMPLICIT" despite the fact that there is no evidence or viable reason for that to be the case. No leakers suggested that either.
The whole issue has been completely resolved. The only thing to ask now is why the hell are intelligence agencies leaking information from top secret programs just to spite Trump? Russia now knows several of the people we were spying on.
Matthew Ramirez
Better ask the dems first. They set that bar. Trying to turn it back around is not acceptable.
Zachary Jackson
idk, ask the DNC
Jeremiah Long
*Clap clap clap clap clap*
Wow, babydick. One of you actually grew a brain and put the little pieces together.
Bravo, racist fuckhead. Now for the bad news: not one decent person considers this a problem and there is jack shit you can do about it.
Fuck YES good people in the CIA, NSA,and many other agencies will ruin Donald Dumbfuck's administration.
Fuck YES the media will help them knock off his cabinet members and advisors one by one.
Fuck YES this chaos will detail his agenda and tank his approval to late GW Bush levels.
Fuck YES the Republican party will give him an ultimatum: resign with a pardon, or face impeachment, removal, and no immunity.
Oh, and just to be clear, sweetie, Pence doesn't scare us in the slightest. He'll be a lame fucking duck after the anti-Drumpf backlash gives us a big blue beautiful Congress. We know how to deal with Jesus Freak cuckservatives. Remember how we took down W? Yeah.
And here you fucknuts thought you'd be getting a wall, a Muslim ban, and MAGA with your sex offender President. Ha! The next six months are going to be a real "happening" the far right will never, ever forget.
Half of you won't even admit to ever having supported Cheeto when it's over. Mark my fucking words.
Parker Clark
Sources stating Flynn did anything improper or illegal.
0 proof of anything.
Andrew Lewis
You really misused that one.
Brody Walker
You can't negotiate with a foreign official on behalf of a country, which is what he was allegdedly doing. Until the transcript has not been published we don't know for sure. But no, you can't juct go to the Iranian embassy and negotiate on Canada's behalf how to deal with their nuclear program. Or national trade deals with Ireland etc.
Robert Phillips
Except people have been charged for leaking classified docs. It's not unusual, and people are punished. Hillary is the greatest leaker in US history.
Zachary Thomas
Nobody believes this, because Trump's actual base believes, rightly, that his opponents will DO AND SAY ANYTHING TO HURT HIM, and they will. And this number will continue to grow and grow.
Brayden Gray
...
Jaxson Roberts
What has been reported on the transcript has been that he said the administration would review sanctions once it power.
Not improper and not illegal.
Im not seeing any proof.
Jeremiah Thomas
Awwwww. How nice. Keep it up with that confidence, and doubling down on the stupidity. Hell, that's why you morons are in the boat you're in now. Please, by all means, stay in your echo chambers.
Angel Gray
THE FBI ALREADY DID THIS INVESTIGATION YOU DUMB FUCKS.
And it's unfortunate your definition of "decent person" happens to be "someone that is corrupt to the bone and enjoys fucking children"
Not exactly what I consider "decent" but hey, I'm old fashioned I guess.
Aiden Young
He probably did misguide pence which is why he is being fired. But he did nothing illegal as the FBI investigation showed.
Ayden Collins
This reminds me of "russia" releasing clinton emails. Dems didn't really care about the illegal actions, only "muh ebil russki hacking"
Jose Carter
Except when Trump found out, he told flynn to go publicly defend himself. So flynn was going to reach out to a reporter he trusted from Bloomberg. That was Trump's plan - fight.
Until Rinsed Penis got involved. Reince convinced trump to just fire him. Reince convinced trump to give up. Reince emasculated the president. Reince emboldened the left and disheartened supporters.
Rinsed Penis needs to go. Trump hired a neocon as his chief of staff, who is now convincing trump to stop fighting, and instead sacrifice senior advisers to appease democrats.
He's either purposefully undermining the administration, or he's a fucking coward who won't fight, or stand up for people. THE FUCKING CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE PRESIDENT WON'T STAND UP FOR ADMINISTRATION STAFF.
Lincoln Miller
Yep, that's why he's resigning. Just for shits and giggles.
John Cook
James Comey's Congressional testimony:
There was a statute passed in 1917 that on its face makes it a crime, a felony, for someone to engage in gross negligence. So, that would appear to say … maybe it’s enough to prove they were just really careless beyond a reasonable doubt. At the time Congress passed that statute in 1917, there was a lot of concern in the House and Senate about whether that was going to violate the American tradition of requiring that before you’re going to lock somebody up, you prove they knew they were doing something wrong…. As best I can tell, the Department of Justice has used it once in the 99 years since, reflecting that same concern. I know from 30 years with the Department of Justice they have grave concerns about whether it’s appropriate to prosecute somebody for gross negligence, which is why they’ve done it once … in a case involving espionage.
Noah Perez
>unauthorized speech isn't protected by the first amendment What the fuck, Bernd.
Dylan Gonzalez
Gross negligence? Ooohhhh, kind of like the Clinton private email server deal... Gotcha.
Josiah White
Good but he still lied to Pence.
Brandon Hall
Penis is looking out for Trump. He knows how politics works. The Republicans held impeachment hearings on Bill Clinton lying about getting a blow job. You think the Dems would try to impeach Trump if they found out Flynn didn't lie to the Admin, but the Admin lied to the public?
Flynn was a fucking Turkish/Russian paid shill. It's mind boggling that /pol is defending him. We'll be far better off with anyone else.
Logan Cruz
Was that rant worth the 10 cents from shariablue/CTR? You sound like a CNN headline.
Austin Kelly
Tell that to Comey.
Robert Smith
He did still misrepresent that to the VP though
Wyatt Rogers
I think I might....
Jaxson Ross
OMG, morals, right? I mean, surely a Donald Dumbfucker who supports a Russian stooge sex offender lording over us is a great moral authority.
No, actually, fuck you. Go eat some pizza and hotdogs, assfucks.
