In truth he is likely just a very idealistic man for a billionaire. Most billionaires focus singularly on maintaining their influence and wealth and use their power towards eliminating all distractions and divergences from this goal. They're almost always successful at this. Good example: Walmart family, Zuckerberg.
People like Soros and Trump though have greater visions which do not allow for singular, laser-like focus on incremental goals. The result is massive and completely unpredictable chaos as second level chaos systems like economy and politics are disturbed.

His vision of the future as one government, one world united is a grand great vision, but like immigration, forcing it upon people and not letting it develop gradually over time leaves a sour taste in people's mouth as their culture and background is destroyed for anew one.
He's essentially forcing it upon humanity because he believes we're close to our own self destruction, so he wants to unite humanity together at all costs.
Thats the problem with leftists, they are willing to even sacrifice their principles to achieve their goals, and what they are left with is nothing but their emotional goals.
