Art thread

What kind of artwork would Sup Forums frame and hang in their house? Preferably something that can be bought or printed in high quality. Asking for a friend.

Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks to Sultan Mehmed IV of the Ottoman Empire

I really thought this would get replies. Guess not...

A few historical family photographs and some old world pictures of Jesus from a particular region

You can't go wrong with scenic landscapes. They can be subtly political too.
>Whereas the mood of the London Landscape with a Man Killed by a Snake is intentionally severe, the Landscape with Diogenes in the Louvre is much lighter in tone and mood. In it the well-known story of Diogenes, the humble philosopher, is depicted. Rejecting all worldly goods, he even throws away his last remaining possession, his drinking cup, when he sees a man drinking water from a stream by cupping his hands. The philosopher's final return to and communion with nature are expressed perfectly in the naturalistic landscape, and although there is a good deal of calculation in the placing of the tree silhouettes, it is the delicacy of each element and the subtle tonality of yellows and greens which dominate. Of all Poussin's work, this type of picture was imitated the least.

the roman emperor basil II, dealing with the bulgars as a vengeful emperor should.

Personally I am a fan of blank walls.nothing on them except maybe an utilitarian calendar.

Blank walls are poverty tier. You can still have a minimalist aesthetic, but you have to put something up.

The wild hunt: Asgårdsreien (1872) by Peter Nicolai Arbo

Also known as Odin's Hunt in Scandinavian lore.

I really like this one.

Having stuff on the walls annoys me. Especially on my desk room. I can't stand stuff hung on the walls.

How could I frame this on my wall if its on the internet?

You can't just print a painting and frame it on your wall. You need a painter/artist to imitate it and paint it.

Christcuck artwork is the best

Forgotted picture.

They do high quality matte prints and frame them on plenty of websites. You can find classical art just like stuff in this thread. I've bought a few and they run $400-$600. They look pretty good, but obviously not as good as an original piece. Good luck finding an artist today still painting the classics and even if you do, you'll pay thousands.

After the first Schlieswig war?

looks fucking horrible

My Grandmother is a watercolor artist. Relatively famous within the art community, prints of her work sell on Target.com and Amazon for hundreds of dollars whereas I, and my cousins hang original works in our homes. She does exhibitions still, even in her 80s and yields tens of thousands of dollars per original piece.

That being said, outside ofnl showcasing her works i am a YUGE Yasou Kuniyoshi fan, I purchased several original pieces to display in my solarium.

The dream is to own an original Hitler piece, but this is a pipedream.

I've never really been an "Art" person, but
i'd really like to have a very imperial-looking kang version of Myself.
Sorta like pic related, it would be kinda cool i guess. Not that my ego is through the roof or anything.

to put over the fireplace right?

For sure.

I saw this piece in Liverpool. Downstairs, next to a room full of greek statues and busts was a display of an old crossdressers collection of frocks.

If Napoleon was king of Italy, shouldn't he be wearing the iron crown of Lombardy?
