The attack on Poland was a territorial dispute between Germany, Poland and Soviet (lost territory from WWI, Danzig, vast amounts of Germans in Poland).
FRANCE AND ENGLAND DECIDED THIS DISPUTE WAS WORTH ANOTHER WORLD WAR.
The German annexation was as fair game as Russland taking Crimea, and Austria wanted to be a part of the Third Reich. These two occurrences had nothing to do with the outbreak of the war anyways.
