Snooker lads

first for slipping the missus the rodger on a saturday night.

>Nigel Farage dodged a bullet back in 1986, when he said he was too busy to take part in an episode of the documentary series Forty Minutes that became notorious. In the Fishing Party, four total twits on a jaunt to Scotland blasted their shotguns at sea gulls, drank prodigiously and offered their unpleasant views on the poor.

>If Farage had as planned been there with his friends, who were rewarded after the screening with obloquy and discredited by weeks of merciless and somewhat unfair media mockery, would he have ever become leader of UKIP and engineered the surge that pushed David Cameron into holding a referendum? Probably not.

>No Farage-run UKIP, no referendum, no Brexit. On such strange quirks history sometimes turns.

No need to be jealous.

Is anyone noticing a shift to the right with our TV . I feel like shows like that one about what Muslims think, "Has PC gone mad?" And that BBC documentary on Australian abbos wouldn't be allowed 1 year ago. Also it seems like BBC are now protraying Nuttal and ukip as a viable and sensible party instead of a bunch of racist idiots talking about "muslamic ray guns"

No, but I have noticed comments on BBC articles shifting to the right slightly.

The BBC is a state ran corporation, if they went too far people would catch on to their bias.

The BBC still have a trump confuses sweden article up despite he himself clarifying he meant a fox documentary on rapefugees in sweden blowing crime levels sky high

You must be joking. IMO it's the opposite. I used to respect the BBC as a reasonably impartial quality broadcaster, but I hardly give them the time of day now

LOL

It doesn't matter if UKIP or Nuttal did get in, literally nothing of consequence would change, our whole Democratic system ensures that.

YKTD DETECTED

Christ...

If they can get to like 37% and a get a majority they're sorted. I'd rather take those chances that shit like the Netherlands, where Gert will be largest party but some mickey-mouse grand coalition between cuckservatives, greens and socialists will be government to keep him out.

I don't think so. Trevor Phillips doing a u-turn on his former beliefs is very interesting to follow though.

theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/feb/19/trevor-phillips-i-dont-care-about-offending-people-has-political-correctness-gone-mad-channel-4

I don't think he can undo the damage he unleashed though

>Ukip member caught on CCTV urinating and trying to push way into OAP's home in Stoke Central

God above in heaven

Vote UKIP!

>Fit can be hilarious though

Im very aware.

Nuttall winning in Stoke will embolden working class conservatives and Ukip will take more seats in the north. This will pressure the major parties into handling Brexit properly and making a serious effort to deal with immigration

The SNP were in power less than 10 years after Holyrood was created with PR, despite attempts to lock them out (At one point, perhaps with little seriousness, Labour apparently considered a deal with the Conservatives.)
Meanwhile UKIP have 1MP.

UKIP has more chance under PR than under FPTP, particularly if they took a left-protectionist economic position.

Watching TV is a cuck activity anyway.

>UKIP has more chance under PR than under FPTP, particularly if they took a left-protectionist economic position.

But muh "everyone will just form coalitions to keep them out" maymay

WB YKTD

>But his complaints were not just about actions, I suggest. Was he not also concerned that the Labour party had played down antisemitic attitudes by some of its members? “Yes,” he agrees. “There are people who believe there is no real distinction between Jews, Zionists and Israelis. And the party doesn’t want to get into that at all because, let’s be frank, it’s increasingly dependent on a demographic group – Muslims – within which a sizable minority subscribes to that view.”
Holy fuck

If they had a viable protectionist economic strategy then I think they would increase their voting base substantially.

We've seen it repeatedly now, someone has some sort of 'radical' ideas for change which leads to a polarised government and parliament, which means the legislation is watered down throughout its readings and we get the same grey utilitarian mush fed to us as always.

Hence the left-protectionist stance.
Also given PR is much more reflective of what people want, since results filter through much more quickly...

It would help UKIPs case a great deal if everyone in a position of leadership wasnt a lying fuck.

Although I wouldn't be the biggest British fan for obvious reasons I really hope you overcome your PC problem. Brexit will hopefully give rise to nationalism again I just hope it's not too late with the amount of foreigners you brought in.

The British empire ended by liberalism and multiculturalism would be the laugh of our grandchildren

opinions lads?

I still really hope Nuttall wins but at this point I almost despise him. If he loses it will be entirely his own fault

Hi Lads. I think was it Rimmer who asked about dividends? Sorry for being so late, I was educating the lib de milkmen on r/ukpolitics and by the time I got back thread had been killed off... and sorry if this reads like a rambling.

I do it online with TD direct investing and receive dividends from some stocks. Of cause, some stocks may not provide dividends, and some online traders might not. I don’t know - look into the package your singing up for. I've not used paper shares for years. Then, you can receive the dividends in different methods. For instance... as cash put into your trading account, e.g. when I was to buy shares I put a couple thousand pounds into my account, use that cash to buy shares, and when selling and getting dividends I get cash into my trading account. but you could also get a check mailed to you, a deposit in your back account or new shares in the stock because of dividends due to DRIP, if set up (think you have to pay a fee for this, but I’m considering myself right now). Read more: tddirectinvesting.co.uk/share-dealing/dividends#

Obviously, when buying shares there are lots of factors to look for, not just ‘Muh dividends’, but if you are looking for dividends don’t just by any stock, some companies don’t pay them, and look into what your signing up for online. Companies may pay dividends at different times, e.g. once each quarter, or once a year etc. You can find these details on a range of sites, This is Money is pretty decent, you can also see key financials etc. in TD (although I CBA to log on for that and only do when I buy/sell etc. E.g. for BP. Dividend details: investing.thisismoney.co.uk/fundamentals/BP. And bp.com/en/global/corporate/investors/information-for-shareholders/dividends.html

(Part 1 of 2, post was too long).

How do manifestos even work in a PR system? Seems like it would be a continuous circus of

>Promise electable policies
>Trade them away when forming coalitions

Over and over. The lack of accountability doesnt really ever get mentioned by people that propose it so strongly.

...

One would hope.

I suggested BP. and Pearson for those interested in dividends as they generally pay higher dividends than most see for their details: pearson.com/investors/investor-information/dividends.html and bp.com/en/global/corporate/investors/information-for-shareholders/dividends.html

Off the top of my head, Tate and Lyle (FTSE 250) were good for dividends (though I have not had any shares in them for years). Oh and yeah…. Remember if your investing pocket money you won’t get too much in terms of dividend, but you know, if you’re holding them long term while getting dividends every so often I guess that is better. Hope this was useful.

(Part 2 of 2, post was too long)

Nutall in Parliament would be like a bull in a china shop.

TFW you imagine Nigel won in thanet...

Tory election fraud and Labour campaigners encouraging people to vote tory robbed him.

those are some weak looking arms

He would be a bit out of place amongst all the Machiavellian mega toffs

Wat

>TFW you imagine Nigel won in thanet...
Him, Cameron and Miliband in Parliment would'be been fucking hilarious.

It's do or die for UKIP in Trent.

Nuttal's PR game has been a complete shambles though. Almost a Walter Mitty at this point

...

Why do we have the best special forces in the world?

Also any SBS info/documentaries?

The idea you need coalitions is a meme. You can do things bill-by-bill, often without even requiring a coalition because something is broadly supported. (Hence how the SNP delivered a lot of their flagship policies, despite only having one seat more than the next biggest party from 2007-2011. They could even possibly have delivered a referendum if Wendy Alexander hadn't conveniently been purged for saying "Bring it on!")
The accountability problem is if anything better than under FPTP, where Blair got away with the Iraq war.

I think the Westminster system generally blurs the legislative and the executive, since we're so used to majorities. (Theoretically speaking you could have had First Minister Ruth Davidson in 2016, if the Greens, Labour and Lib-Dems+Conservatives all voted for her - she'd lead the executive arm, but the SNP would have a much easier time getting what it wanted in the legislative arm. UKIP and Conservative + Plaid tried this with Leanne Wood in wales iirc.)

If Enoch Powell couldn't influence Parliament in any meaningful way in terms of reduction in socialism (even as a Tory cabinet member) or immigration, I highly doubt Professor of Hillsborough Nuttal will.

here's a fact

WE DIDNT START THE FIRE!

what a song

Ive noticed a lot of non beeb channels offering different viewpoints.
Though to be fair its in their best interest to pander otherwise advertisers will drop them and they wont meet payroll.

The trend is largely for these yougins to get their news from this interweb thingy where its not so force fed in a set narrative and its open for instant debate.
Channel 4 has to get ratings somehow and if that means shilling to the "alt-right" then thats how its going to have to be.
Crazy considering the channel was founded on giving lesbians a safe space.

Labour is a absolutely horrible position a the moment.
The sjw left is pushing "Muh anti-Semitism" and "Muh brexit"
And the sun/daily mail right is protraying him as some extremist communist who will ruin the country and cancel brexit. They obviously want Blair back in

I just want to suck on your feminine willy while you sleep

Yes it was me, thanks for the info. I only really want to invest in British companies that payout dividends as I will hold long term. What is DRIP? Is TD the best site to have an account with?

Pearson looks good. Is there anywhere to find which companies payout dividends and when?

How much do you invest? Was going to put a grand in just to fuck about and learn what I'm doing to start

Cheers. (I asked)
I remember from cursory /biz/ use when it was first created that Muh-Dividends was posted dismissively a few times.
Is it viable to "get back what you put in" with dividends assuming a company remains generally stable, or is the value usually that you don't get it back, but that you have an asset as well as the dividends paying you to hold it? (i.e. if a share is say $100, and it's tossing out $0.05 in dividends each period, it'll take a lifetime to recoup my investment in dividends even without factoring inflation, however assuming the share-price stays around $100, i've also got a $100 asset i could convert to cash if i needed to, making it preferable to just holding cash.)

JR needs to get Joey Diaz on with AJ and get them both wasted, i think id cry all the water out of my body with laughter.

Was Enoch that anti-socialist. He was mostly just anti-immigrant

Fair enough. AV+ could have been a stepping stone.

Good dividend companies will net you about 4% a year which is much more than any savings account will get you atm.

Hey British anons, is this show popular in the UK? I love watching on YouTube mostly for Rachael desu

Powell was fully free market and spent most of his time attacking his own party on points of economics. He often didn't even comment on immigration debates until the mid 60s.

JR and Diaz went on Alex Jones' show years ago
