I've found that being a homeowner has made me despise the left and socialism/Communism more than I already did. They have no concept of continuity planning. There's no shred of mitigation in their hearts.
They want a lot of things for free, which sounds good at first until you see the results of "free" stuff. I keep thinking about all the work and effort I've put into my house. All the money I've earned and spent on making my house "mine" and improving it/maintaining it, in general. I strive and work hard to have nice things for my home that I can be proud of. The left keeps talking about how money is evil and all that shit about not having any private property and everything being provided for you. It's crazy to not reward hard work with something.
They say technology has gotten so far that we can phase out work. They don't realize that SOMEONE has to fix your roof when the shingles fall apart. They don't realize lack of responsibility destroys incentive and creativity.
I'm on the west coast and people are out of their minds. In terms of logistical real life things that require a human element, they have zero foresight. The only 2 ways to get that human element to do what you want (like roofing, plumbing or construction etc) is to either pay them or threaten them. The idea that people will do back breaking work out of the goodness of their heart is so retarded I just don't know what to say to these people anymore.
I'm frustrated and worried for the future I'm leaving for my daughter. I'm trying to teach her good qualities but she'll ultimately walk her own path, especially when common core super lefty school gets through with poisoning her mind...
It's hard to be responsible and seeing the fabric of society unravelling...

I understand mate, I'm only in my late 20s but I've seen the effects that leftism can have on people.
When I was a kid I lived with my mum, she was a single mother and on benefits. We weren't expected to get hobbies, better ourselves, get jobs, or even go to school. Every time something bad happened to us as a family, me and my little sister would get the blame. I remember when I was 12 the bank came and started going on about foreclosing the house and I was screamed at about how I'd cause mum to get a heart attack, we'd become homeless because of me, all sorts of horrible shit because I broke my foot and had the audacity to want to go to a hospital a few weeks prior.
I was lucky enough to figure out what was going on and hassle the cops until they removed me when I was 16. I learned that dad wasn't as much of a cunt as he'd been made out to be, I moved past learned helplessness, and although I'm still fucked up today I'm better than my siblings (two are dead, one is a druggie, one went missing a few years ago).
The attitude that leftism fosters is cancerous. I was a communist when I was 15, by the time I was 18 I had gone so far to the right it gave me whiplash.

It happens a lot where I am. No one comes to borrow my tools. They come to get ME to fix their computer or shelves or fence or whatever for them. I wrote a few people off because I went to go give them a neighborly hand and instead of us doubleteaming it or them learning what to do from me, they go inside or do something else or just gab on about nothing interesting. It's mind blowing how building even simple shit like the doghouse I threw together for my neighbor is so far beyond them. It's no difficult. But they're cozy and would rather someone else do it for them. Im only helping people now if they need a 2nd hand or are genuinely wanting help and learn a new skill.

when people get "older", more and more people are like "blue pilled" - they give up that independence of youth they once had , and their outlook, to buy into the "system"...conformity to the way things are...in exchange for the girl, the family, house, etc. without question, or even worse.
personally i have way more in common with the spirit of independence, i rather view things like the freedom that we have growing up, saying fuck the system and mainstream narrative, we got control over this

I turned 30 a couple months back. Things are pretty good really. My son turned 2 in February, we purchased our house last year and it's going well, my wife and I are doing great, I like my job, I get a new Mercedes-Benz every few months, my hobbies are all fun (and I make sure to make time for them) and we're talking about having another kid once my wife finishes her paralegal program.
The weird thing for me is that most of the problems are in my immediate family, and I don't know how to take care of them. My little brother is nearly 30 and a NEET, my mom might have cancer (and my brother lives with her like a leech), and my dad is in a green card marriage with a 29 year old Filipina girl.
