>What happened so far - Main spillway got damaged - because of no maintaining - because Cali thought that they will never have that much water again - because of Muh Climate Change. And they needed the money for illegals. - They closed the main spillway to inspect the damage, water went over the emergency spillway - Emergency spillway was in even worse condition and it got BTFO pretty bad - They opened the main spillway again, so that water doesn't go over the emergency spillway any longer - Main spillway gets slowly BTFO and half of it is gone. But it is stable at the moment. - They try to "repair" the emergency spillway because if rain hits hard, water will go over it again and rek it even more
> Be careful! There is plenty of old footage marked as livestream!
Multiply the flow rate by whatever time and add it to the volume.

Why hasn't the dam fallen yet.
I don't pay you anons for nothing
Leo Jenkins
It won't fail till at least May 18.
Ethan Reed
Tripfag, please go.

Also the plant has been disconnected from the grid. There is apparently a generator and some other alternate backup and I kind of doubt the generator would be pushing 13.4kV unless those are some serious fucking gates.
I wasn't around to notice when they took it off grid, but that could possibly have some correlation with the recent stability of the voltage. Really makes me wonder how the charger is designed. Maybe it's from the 60s or whenever it was this dam was built.
Lucas Carter
Fuck off tripfag you don't post enough dank memes for the dam to break
This discussion (ogd) would actually be better on a platform like reddit. When (not if) this thing goes, it will be because of erosion, not catastrophic overflow. Biblical rains are great, but day to day wear and tear from snow melt and minor rain that forces them to use the spillways (rather than repair them) is going to be the final death knell. Anyways, this discussion rewards perseverance. Would be nice to associate peoples opinions with user names--we might be discussing this for a few months, and it would be nice to know who was in from jump street.

>Junkichi Mima, spokesman for conservation group WWF Japan, said invasive species cause problems “because they get mixed in with indigenous animals and threaten the natural environment and ecosystem”. Really makes me think.

Then you need to go back.

Nice try, officer, but no 10x.

Very interesting. We really should change the general from Oroville Dam General to California Dams General, or something like that. This is about to become a clusterfuck of multiple dams in the same system.
Cooper Rodriguez
lol dam is disconnected from mains and gate is on auxiliary power, meaning they are running on battery and generators

Very interesting opinion, Sir. Very well formulated aswell! Hat off, kind gentlesir, to your insightful input towards this discussion. *tips fedora*

Then go to reddit and start a thread. Collaborate with fellow redditors. Then proceed to get shadowbanned or censored due to wrongthink.

Why change it? Syria Generals consist of all the conflicts currently going on right now, its just that Syria is the hot spot.
Ryan Harris
Can someone post the stream link for emergency band?
Tyler Price
never no longer connected to mains so not subject to mains voltage fluctuation
13.3 more likely
Andrew Lee
No, /odg/ is fine! Just add &friends after Oroville Dam in the extended title.
Thing is lead acid should drop to 12.8 or so pretty quick after being disconnected if its under any real load. Even if it's just sitting there is should begin to sag toward 12.8.
