I think what a lot of people underestimate or even avoid is just how many normal people - doctors, teachers, police officers and so on willingly and gladly cooperated with paedophiles. They try and kick it up to elites to make it seem more interesting and mysterious, yet as mundane as the reality is it manages to offend them a great deal. Paedophiles, enabling and serious sex criminals, are more likely to be found in boring public service positions than they are in Number 10.
