Literally the only reason people think this combination is a good idea is due to vaporwave being exceedingly popular on Sup Forums. And does this surprise anyone when this music is literally half speed reposts of old music. Zero creative talent required. Its literally the musical embodiment of shitposting/pepes. Lazy.
None of this fashwave shit makes any sense connotatively. You're taking great classical works of art which is rightly associated with conservative ideals, and mixing them with 80's hedonism.
What would make more sense would be keeping the classical art and replacing it with a more stoic, functional, brutalist aesthetic.

The original point of Vaporwave was meant to be satire of capitalism. More art was created using this concept. It ended up showing capitalism as a dream-like world. It backfired on itself. Also using Roman busts only helped those to create pieces centered around Traditionalism. Now we have Westethica.
