Would you vote for Yngwie Malmsteen were he to run for president?
>shunned socialist Sweden >is the archetype of American ambition >literally the greatest guitarist on earth >made his own way >never compromised his vision >soldiered on through addiction and an ever changing musical landscape >literally Trump as an neo classical 80s guitar virtuoso
Too sloppy. Michael schenker wrecks Ritchie Blackmore. And isnt a poncey little twat
John Jenkins
Fastest guitarist =/= best
Brandon Lopez
He's technically fantastic, but goddamn I hate that kind of music
Josiah Ross
Blackmore is the best guitar composer, he's progressed his craft through the so many levels. YM and others are 1 dimensional. Ritchie Blackmore has done neo classical, jazz, pop, metal, folk. Even YM knows RB has better feel and compositions YM is more technical but not a better musician than RB
Elijah Lewis
He's not the fastest, when clocked in notes per second. But he is the greatest alive.
Caleb White
there are thousands of guitarists better than this dude
Evan Cox
Not my favorite guitarist, but he did influence a lot that I do like.
Michael Nelson
le fast guitar man who cant make a good song o save his live xD
Jace Wright
This. Ritchie Blackmore is great and was onboard with the neoclassical guitar virtuoso way before Yngwie.
Liam Martinez
That's not Joe Satriani
Levi Powell
Blackmore cant touch Schenkers vibrato or note choice.
also he has three albums. as far as composition they are pretty amazing. the whole axis bold as love album is filled with amazing compositions.
enjoy your bubble though
Hudson Flores
KRAKATAU IS GOAT
Brandon Sanders
Jeff Beck
Matthew Williams
>mitch mitchell >generic drummer
Holy hell m8 develope some sense
Thomas Garcia
>no capitalization or punctuation Are you?
Henry Jackson
you're talking to a guy who seems 12 or either takes this whole lol pol thing way too serious for his own god
pretty much, ironically, the definition of a jew shill
Carter Sanchez
Greatest of all times is either Mark Knopfler or Eric Clapton on an artistical level. Now if autistically throwing solos very fast at the point it sounds like screeching swings your boat k but any literal who autist swede can play very fast and be very technical. Mark Knopfler plays with his fingers and literally delivers honey for ears. Most pleasent guitar sounds ever made. The rest can fuck off. Guitar is not an olympic sport.
Kayden White
>greatest guitarist on earth
Oh fuck off. Seriously. Any guitarist worth an actual shit would weep reading that fucking sentence. He is the definition of a hack.
Owen Martinez
I don't fault Ritchie going full Renaissance Fair music. Have you seen his wife Candice?
Guy is enjoying his sunset years.
Nathan Martinez
ive seen him live dude was in his own world prolly shitfaced drunk and flying on coke or something
pretty good show though, i was like 10ft away from him and ended up with like 7 picks
Connor Collins
Will he unleash the fucking fury?
Ian Sanchez
I have a friend who is completely obsessed with this guy and would suck your dick just for it having been in the same room as the man
Samuel Collins
Fuck yes.
Also, Dave Mustaine for Vice Pres. He's been singing songs about how corrupt the government is since forever.
Sebastian Young
Mark Knopfler is excellent. Clapton is all right, but he is also literally the most overrated guitarist of all time. Hendrix killed him after he went on stage to jam with Cream. From all accounts Clapton was never the same after that. And you can tell; after Cream he pretty much just stopped playing guitar. He can only do one thing. Playing with two jazz guys like Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker forced him to develop something new in his guitar playing. Unfortunately it didn't last.
Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Albert King, Hubert Sumlin . . . now those are original greats. Clapton copped that style and got away with it.
Adrian Jenkins
I've always thought of Clapton's biggest influence being making Bob Marley famous in America and introducing us to reggae in general
Blake Green
also clapton can't play rhythm lol
Isaiah Bell
yup, and making cocaine a cool thing.
the biggest Cream hit Sunshine of your Love, Jack Bruce wrote that after seeing Hendrix perform live in a burst of inspiration - his own words
Joseph Hughes
>greatest guitarist on earth
Samuel Cooper
>literally the greatest guitarist on earth
Has to be bait. He isn't even worth 0.1 bucketheads. So many hundreds of guitarists on a similar level of skill as yngiwe, all he has is speed, and awful sounding tone. Any guitarist in the heavier metals (death/prog death/death core/melodic death/etc.) is comparable to yngwie.
Buckethead is unarguably the greatest guitarist alive. He has mastered more styles and techniques than most of the other "great" guitarists can even do, let alone have mastered.
Robert Ramirez
I'll never understand what people see in this boring bald shitto
Ethan Price
Yfw you will never be a aryan guitar icon.
Cooper Ross
I almost brought up Ritchie Blackmore while talking to him. (I think he hates the comparison)
Bentley Hughes
>without as much ego and gay glam shit I couldn't give less of a fuck about his image or attitude because his playing is all that matters and, unfortunately, it's boring as fuck.
I thought this kicked ass, I'm not sure what or who to compare it to but it's better than Hendrix's own boring as shit meme blues version.
Liam Reed
>s-Schen who?! literal nobody,
(you)
Ryder Anderson
Yngwie is a shit guitarist. Alls he knows how to do is pure classical arpeggios. He doesnt know how to uses speed or finese like guitarists like Eddie Van Halen or Michael Schenker. Without the arpeggios rock style of playing is just noise, just run-of-the-mill guitar leads that anyone can do. He insults people like the great blues men and Jimi Hendrix despite the fact that he is just a hack doodley ooodly metal head himself. He thinks he is a musical genius for using things like modes despite the fact that you can play his modal progressions just using regular minor chords. So if you try and translate his deluded sense of greatness to politics you end up with just another blowhard who thinks he is the shit but doesnt actually know anything.
Fuck off Lars. Yngwie is not even your real name, your real name is Lars Johan Yngve Lannerbäck
Ian Lewis
That's salty
Christian Perry
Welp, time to listen to Rising Force on repeat for like 5 hours again.
>s-Schen who?! literal nobody, Michael Schenker did some of the most classic songs of all time with UFO like Doctor Doctor, Lights Out, Rock Bottom, many more
Yngwie litterally did nothing but tons of shit albums that never got airplay and are just pretentious metal trash that no one listens to
fuck you Yngwie, youre a nobody, you always will be a nobody
Daniel Wood
On technical skills only it's Guthrie Govan.
On influence it's objectively Hendrix.
Jaxon Green
Rofl, top bait. Man what a fucking douche, someone remove the guitar from his hands
Dylan Smith
I'm a Ritchie Blackmore goat
Brandon Allen
Dio-era Rainbow is literally my favorite thing right now. Love Blackmore.
Jaxon Collins
nobody cares about your stupid, bland, out of touch musical taste Ynqwie
Jaxon Long
>literally the greatest guitarist on earth HIGHLY DEBATABLE
Adrian White
>if only he didn't look gay.
Chase Jenkins
youtube.com/watch?v=lbg8g48mU5s He's an incredible show-man and an incredible player. Shows what hard work and dedication can accomplish, and does embody the American dream. He never would have made it had he stayed in jantesverige.
However, he's not the greatest guitarist ever, because while it's impressive it's just a bunch of arpeggios from hell. Musically neo-classical metal has hardly anything to do with classical music, none of the depth of form or counterpoint is there. Playing fast arpeggios is essentially a more detailed version of strumming a sequence of chords. Some one like Greg Howe might not be as fast but shreds more musically than Malmsteen.
I still like him though.
Sebastian Wright

impressive, very similar tastes, my favorite song of all time by anyone is Child in Time
Jason Taylor
Nice. Child in Time sits high on my list of Deep Purple songs. Of course it does.
Benjamin Bailey
the Dio years of Black Sabbath were also my favorite BS. Mob Rules, Heaven and Hell and Dehumanizer albums have some great songs on them (I'm sure you're familiar with them)
