Any time I see the alt-right mentioned on Sup Forums I see nothing but people shitting on it. I've been here for 5 years and have gone from being a pretty normie anti-racist conservative that thought the problem with blacks was their culture to a race realist, anti-egalitarian, anti-immigration white nationalist who recognizes the (((people))) behind the curtain. Being here on Sup Forums converted me and made be take the red pill.
From there I was introduced by Sup Forums to things like The Right Stuff, Richard Spencer, NPI, Am Ren and Jared Taylor, Millennial Woes, and all the other Alt-Right websites and thinkers and for the most part I think they make sense and mirror a great deal of the opinions that are common here on Sup Forums.
It was Sup Forums's Sup Forums that made me think the way I do today and it was Sup Forums's Sup Forums that introduced me to the Alt-Right... but everyone here hates the Alt-Right. Why?

That's pretty much the main reason people here hate the alt-right. I haven't seen any anti-alt-right posts that don't mention major figures within it being plants, shills, or controlled opposition. I'm kind of indifferent to it myself, but I admit it's good for normalfaggish types since they tend to rally behind e-celebs more.
There are so many people here who hate Spencer and call him a shill even though he's been advancing white nationalism since the 90s. They support Breitbart, Milo, PJW, Mike "Gorillion Mindset" Cernovich, and other shills over the real message.
I don't think Spencer should be the public leader of the movement, he's not very charismatic, and certainly not the Hitler or Rockwell type figure that we need. I think the general attitudes of Sup Forums are more extreme than Spencer's. So of course the small-but-vocal minority here will scream about how he's no good to the far-right because he doesn't align with far-right views in every way. I heard him interviewed by a libertarian comic hosting McInnes' show a few days ago and found him likable and sensible enough if there was ever a way to get normies to hear him speak at any significant length, he wouldn't come off horribly. Perhaps even get some of the crowd to think about his ideas because of how much a monster the mainstream media attempt to portray him as. I think if those same reporters were to interview someone from Sup Forums and Spencer, they'd come out thinking Spencer a goddamn diversity advocate in comparison. Also in the interview I most recently heard, his change in tone when asked about Milo made me chuckle a bit as it was so clear he has to be more accepting of queers publicly than he actually is. Yeah, that's kind of my point user. Although, in review, I did word that portion terribly. But the broader point being I think that here on Sup Forums the number of posters that don't see the usefulness of those figures on the right that may not come as far that way on the spectrum as the majority here on Sup Forums, but do serve to convert significant numbers of the leftists or the politically apathetic and, just statistically speaking, a percentage of those people will eventually find themselves receptive to more extreme views, is at times disappointingly high. I think that a lot of these figures should, at worst, be seen by us as (and I hate to quote fucking Lenin here) "useful idiots". I believe in the concept of organized controlled opposition, but a lot of anons take that to mean any public figure on the right that does not entirely align with the average anons view.
