They call him boss...

Most cowboys were mexicans, weren't they?

>he thinks there were black cowboys

Surely they had people attending the cows in the plantation.

WE WUZ MEXICANS!

Snoop has clearly never heard of Sergeant Bart who rode the Blazing Saddle

...

Western films also make us think cowboys weren't the equivalent of the beaners outside of a home depot.

>Western films
Has anyone pointed out to him that history books are better at telling us things about the past than Hollywood and people who pretend for a living?

it would have been better

No, there were cowboys from Texas all the way to South America. But supposedly one of the traditional hats was invented by a mexican, but idkif it's true. Could be wewuz

COWBOYS N SHIET

...

Enslavers obviously.
Only white peeps ever enslaved anybody.

Mexicans have their own name for cowboys and yeah, lots of them were doing this but it was generally proportional to their population. It wasn't any kind of prestigious job so yeah, probably some of them were black though(although given the general assumption that blacks aren't very good at acting individually it's likely that they weren't really prioritised over other races).

Now what the article is more likely to imply is that westerns rarely show blacks which is not really true either. Of course there weren't that many of them in the frontier or in California during gold rush(Chinese on the other hand...) but even then there's plenty of black characters in westerns.

In The Professionals you have that black scout, in A Man Who Shot Liberty Wallace you also have black working for John Wayne, Horse Soldiers has that black maid, in Once Upon a Time in the West you've had nigger thug in the very first scene, Clint Eastwood's friend in Unforgiven was also black(Morgan Freeman) and so on and so on.

They're counting on the fact that most people have no idea about pic in this post and their knowledge about westerns is limited to watching High Noon and maybe The Good, The Bad, The Ugly once.

Pic tangentially related - a Soviet take on Western in completely different setting.

What about Jango the uncucked?

Get out, spooky hacker

Pretty sure there were ass loads of blacks in western films.

MY COWBOYZ WUZ BLACK

>extremely rare to see black cowboy in real life
>extremely rare to see black cowboy in movie
??? Isnt this accurate portraying ?

There are black cowboys all over the south. My coworkers who were black would go to trail rides and constantly talk about their horses and shit.

Its just out of touch liberals who reinforce the "Black people dont fux with animals lmao only white ppl be on that country shit (crying laughing emojii)".

Yeah exactly. Look up the Black Rodeo. Black people love country stuff, considering how many of them live out in the country too.
