WRONG. Even before the war started, Britain was in contact with the resistance movement, i.e. the high ranking military and political members. Britain reasoned "we don't trust people fighting against their own nation" and later in the war they also reasoned "if the resistance movement is successful, they will implement a military dictatorship worse than Hitler". As a result, Britain/Churchill did not seek to help the resistance movement.
Either way, the plan was to flatten Germany and the resistance movement had a big part in the defeat on the eastern front.
