>But I heard Asians integrate quite well, or at least they just go about their business and don't cause any trouble.
I'm Asian, I came here as a child, and I integrate well, identify as Canadian, albeit, "Canadian from Hong Kong".
I came here in the 90s, when almost everybody in my old neighbourhood is white, now almost everybody is Chinese from Mainland, with blacks in apartments a few blocks down - I don't know how the new ones will integrate when there is no Canadian neighbourhood for them to integrate into!
But don't blame the player, blame the game. I support reducing immigration to 1000 people each year, and limiting where they can live for the first five years to avoid everyone flooding the cities and driving up rent and property value.
I have a rich uncle in Hong Kong, I love him, I think he's in general a good guy, he volunteers for charity and donate, but he does some stuff that I don't think he should have, or should have been able to. He brought this house in Canada that he left vacant, I remember going with my parents to clear the yard to help him sell it after he has owned it and left it vacant for so long - the yard had grass taller than our knees, grasshoppers everywhere, it was a jungle, his neighbours must not have been impressed.
But don't hate the player, hate the game, rules need to be change so that only citizens or landed immigrants in actual residence can buy residential properties.
I'm a naturalized Canadian, and I don't think it would be unfair if a natural born Canadian was ahead of me in any welfare list - they were here first. I would be a hypocrite if I don't support that while arguing for Hong Kongers First for Hong Kong.
