I went to Istanbul for New Year's 2013-2014. Spent a couple nights there. It's definitely an interesting place. I loved seeing all of the varieties of architecture from different periods of history, particularly things from Constantinople. Too bad the walls couldn't keep you fuckers out. The Grand Bazaar was quite the experience for the first 30 min or so, but it quickly becomes an endless maze of repeating shops selling the same shitty trinkets. Taxi drivers are total Turkroaches... Bringing a can of Raid is highly advisable when riding in a cab. Kebab was on point. Definitely a lot more to it but this isn't a blog. Would probably rate 8/10 overall.
