Favorite WWII uniform Sup Forums?

I've been putting together sets of reproductions, and don't know what I should start next. I was thinking of getting a formal or parade uniform going. And if anyone has any sites they use for buying pins, patches, etc feel free to share.

Discussion not limited to WWII uniforms

here ya go

Bump

Reminds me of short shorts and FALs

Gotta love this.

I'm also curious as to the consensus on Napoleonic era uniforms. Do they have too much going on and are too flashy and complicated, or where they the peak of military uniforms?

Hitler youth A CUTREEEE

British ones are actually quite simple to put together, especially if you know some basics when it comes to sewing and tailoring. I did some living history events for the War of 1812 in full 49th Regiment of Foot kit. I imagine American uniforms from that era would be equally as simple, probably more so considering how many resources American reenactors have access to compared to Canadians. No experience with continental European uniforms though, so I can't comment on those.

Hungarian peace keepers

nice camo

Those are aesthetic as hell.

Those look fabulous, and not in a good way.

I love German WW1 uniforms
Death head cavalry uniforms are also great looking

I've always wanted to own a Wehrmacht's NCO uniform. Not too special snowflake like the Waffen-SS (which every naziboo wants to roleplay as), not too generic cannon fodder rank and file, but still enough to stand out.

Why does everyone want Waffen SS or high ranking officers uniforms? Regular Wehrmacht is much more subtle and doesn't make you look like a wehraboo faggot
Heres a clip of some good uniforms in action btw:

I think the pre-Dunkirk Scottish uniforms with the kilts looked pretty cool.

That's a good point, I've found the standard M42 uniform is really nice when you keep it minimalist, and if you want to be some major faggot you can pepper it with decorations and ribbons.

GOAT Napoleonic era uniform coming through

Objectively the best, which is why most dress uniforms today try to imitate this aesthetic.

...

great coats always look cool

...

first of all, its' not a formal uniform its' called a waffenrock

the uniform you have in the picture is made of tweed, it has the correct cuffs, but the belt is the wrong color. Should be brown. also there should be a breast strap with it. this is an SS uniform. so there should be an eagle on the sleeve, but NOT the breast pocket as you can see
everything else looks correct

depending on the color of the piping of the shoulder boards. It will tell you what branch he's in.
from memory. White is infantry. pink is tanker, red is artillary, yellow is signals, green is i forget.
LOL

THIS is a waffen rock

this was used as a formal uniform

this is wehrmact, you can tell immediately by the eagle on the breast pocket
it's infanty, white piping.

...

and that is also a correct belt for that uniform.

If you cannot find that particular belt, look for russian uniforms of east berlin. Ebay. from 1946 up until the last 50's. Their unifrom was as close to a national socialist uniform from the 40's as you can get
the belt is the same "almost" a person like me could tell the diff.
but to most of the heathens, they wouldn't be able to notice.

also the shirmutz is "almost" the same. the only dif between a german war shirmutz and an post war east german shirmutz is the east german shirmutz doens't have the double piping around the cap head band.*small but people like me notice.

anyways. good luck. I have been collecting repro uniforms for 9 years now, all ww2 germany.
it's a fun hobby.

can sombody tell me what this rank is?

neich.. neich geaufreisen bitte.
ich muss. fuhr die mutterslands.

Mixed together Vokssturm uniforms, featuring private and WW1 equipment, especially when they wear politcal uniforms of the SA and the NSDAP, dying in the same uniform they began their struggle with in the 1920's

Hauptmann (Captain)

>showing legs
Why ? Remove all the credibility.

...

...

I love how they kept the elements of the uniforms of the 18th and 19th century ( collar tabs and cuff button ornaments)

Even til WW1 they had ranks called "Musketier" (musketeer)

Anyone got any tips for putting together a brown shirt uniform?

Because its reasonable when its as hot outside that you can roast eggs on your tank

Hier! Also My great grandfather was a brownshirt, ask your questions, I am drunk and helpful

how many communists did he beat

Best uniform coming through

what movie is that and does anyone know any good ww1 and ww2 movies?

Noice. I meant more like a shortlist for who makes good repro gear. So my question to you would be something like:

A lot, he was apparently hot tempered from what I was told.

He fought of commies trying to storm the city council in 1924 when commies and seperatists tried to secede the Rheinland from the Reich while the French turned a blind eye on this.

He took a baton from a hestiant police officer and beat some of them almost to death, took the baton back home.

My grandfather told me he kept the Baton always with his brownshirt uniform and his musician horn from ww1

easy captain, you can tell immediately 2 ways

2 pips
corded straight shoulder boards
now the next rank up would have intervoven shoulder boards, and no pips interwoven is a major.

also, he's wehrmacht, from the collor tabs, the green band around the shirmutz and the oak leave badge on his shirmutz instead of a death head.

Just buy a used American Boy Scout uniform. They look almost identical.

My great-grandpa uniform from la Guerra Civil (spanish civil war)

I can recommend this one

wehrmacht.es/en/ss-uniforms/629-sa-brown-shirt.html

gestapo great coat (over coat)

thank hugo boss, he developed all the national socialist uniforms of 1930's onwards.

100% schillfuk

HIGHTY TIGHTY CHRIST ALL MIGHTY WHO THE HELL ARE WE

FLIM FLAM GOD DAMN WE'RE AIRBORNE INFANTRY

Awesome. I'm not sure if any of my ancestors were in WW2. I think there was a great grandfather but he may not actually be related to me. (Grandfather very possibly got cucked.)
On the one hand it sucks not to have that legacy but on the other hand that means none of them ever had to shoot at Germans! In WW2 at least...

Cheers.

If we are lucky we get a chance to fight in the upcoming race war though and can make a name for us

I hope this time together.

I actually love the old Army dress greens they phased out, loved the shade of green and how the visor caps looked.

Something must happen or we are doomed

Anybody got one of the female scottish home guard? Saw it in a textbook, looked aesthetic as hell.

...

Not ww11 but still relevant Include this in The museum please

That uniform is still in service.

Ffs forgot my pic

>skipping leg day

That's what I love about it

Do the sideburns go in the museum too?

That is how much our uniforms degraded

Nice uniform. I bet Mattis hears everything though.

Honestly the nazis looked terrifying when they had full uniform. I would be scared shitless if I saw a whole bunch of them charge from the trees.
