The problem Switzerland for example has is democracy. Compared to the monarchy examples, the Swiss system can be voted away at any time, while monarchy creates a framework that can't simply be put aside. Monarchy is better at providing freedom because of that and hoppe libertarianism basically boils down to local aristocratic rule, with the only difference being that this "aristocratic" class" isn't determined by heritage but rather through merit. So basically if you are skilled and earn much, you buy land and become the feudal lord of that land.
