it's for several reasons i think. most who oppose it openly say "beautiful idea but it doesn't work in practice" -- don't go this route. say "FALSE" it's a shitty ideology that condones taking what people are unwilling to work for for themselves.
I think there's also a large glossing over of this concept by our public schools. There's such a widely propagandized display of the holocaust being the worst atrocity to ever exist that most typical public school children don't even know any other genocides ever occurred -- i remember one of my high school civics teachers briefly touching on communism, and emphasizing "it was a beautiful idea" without ever touching on the de-incentivization it caused, or any other negatives. a single, minute long talking point, next to months covering the holocaust.

Nothing communism is a religion who's believers are bigger zealots than Wahhabist.
The arguments have all been made and socialism/communism have been killed on the philosophical and economical stage at every level(especially the economic level with the calculation and knowledge problems showing even with perfect people these ideas are fundamentally unworkable economic systems) in regards to providing anything worthwhile. The only reason it survives is because it's zealous followers like its conclusions and people who seek power see it as the system to gain near unlimited political power using these useful idiots.

In Western Europe, there has basically been no real communism applied in politics or economics so people do not really see the evil in it.
They do see however that communists resisted the Germans during WW2, and USSR saved us from all being German slaves, so they were good guys at one point in history. Plus after that they were a threat, but were mainly opposing the Americans, thus denying them a monopoly on military power. Now Russia, still strongly associated with communism, is a country that makes memes and kills terrorist.
So, as paradoxical as it may be, it is seen as perfectly acceptable for a western European to support communism while being far right is extremely evil.
No ideology is "evil," people are evil. Communism at its core was derived from the idea that people shouldn't be allowed to starve to death and things should be regulated by the all knowing government. This has good parts and bad parts, but unfortunately most commie leaders treated their people like shit. There are capitalist, fascist, socialist, etc leaders who also treat their people like hell.
Stop hating people because of their preferred ideology.
