I'm a long-time libertarian...

I'm a long-time libertarian, but it's quickly becoming very hard to resist the ideology that late-stage capitalism observers are putting out. I've had a lot of the observations and agreements in the past myself, but just ignored them.

What's Sup Forums think about the idea of LCS? Discuss

Stop being a faggot.

Reality is no built for you to be "happy" or follow your full of fuck shit passion.

So what the fuck are we going to do when automation renders labor pointless? We are already developing algorithms that can write stories - what happens when they can analyze documents and data, rendering a good portion of white collar jobs obsolete?

I think you're an autist and lefty shill who can't realize most problems would be solved by abolishing Usury alone

Unfortunately kids are fed idealistic bullshit growing up

It's easy to tell someone to "go for their dream Job" without explaining to them the consequences and sacrifice it usually takes to obtain it.

It's also not built for us to be unhappy, either.

In my opinion, a true libertarian stance is complete freedom, unreliant on anybody or anything.

I think its accurate. We are currently in the period of prolonged stagnation that will precede the final collapse.

> muh automation

Take you lust for government hand-outs wad them up into a ball shove them in your mouth and choke on them.

What do you mean by "Late Stage Capitalism", different people say different things, could you specify please?

Global liberalism is ideology - it just happens to be extremely gay and destructive.

I would kill to be born in the 30's, just so I could grow up with some bullshit office job post-war (if I didn't die like a limp-wristed faggot I am) and live happily with a wife and kids in the American dream.

LSC as in, the American dream is now trying to find a job that isn't "entry level with 16 years of experience in 30+ different skillsets for $9.50/hr".

I am legitimately considering suicide if that is the job market I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. I don't want to disappoint my parents, but they both have nice cushy STABLE jobs they've inherited after being bloated with experience before job requirements got ridiculous.

Background: Getting into IT because my passion is computers. Going to kill myself from what my prospects are looking like. Only advice anyone can give me is "Go and talk with a manager that's the way you get hired"

>LSC = 60+ years of rapidly encroaching socialism
Your anger is misdirected, fag

>existential
>wanting globalism

College frosh faggot

I don't know what ideology I want. All I really want is security in life, and at home, in an economy where I don't have to be cutthroat to get a job. That's why I support Trump, but now I don't even know if he's the guy I want.

Don't do it faggot.

Why should you take the blame for an nonfunctional and absurd society?

>All I really want is security in life, and at home, in an economy where I don't have to be cutthroat to get a job

Why do you think you are entitled to something the vast majority of humanity has not been able to have for the vast majority of history?

...

>Why do you think you are entitled to something the vast majority of humanity has not been able to have for the vast majority of history?

I don't know, why can't we be the first to do this? In the boom age, a secure job where you work hard with benefits and retirement was the norm. Now you've got hordes of people struggling to hold themselves up while they turn McDonalds hiring fairs into a thunderdome, with the only beneficiary being those that control the money.

Because, and get this revolutionary notion, the other side isn't exactly living it up in money either.

I don't want to be some bleeding-heart liberal "artist" living in a shithole with 17 other random people that probably have diseases, just because I believe the economy should be reworked and I don't want to participate in the current job market.

Maybe I'm too classical for today's standards.

brah you just gotta hold out until the automation takes over in a big way. Universal Basic Income is the way of the future

>Socialists actively sabotage free enterprise and individual liberty.
>"HHHHHUUUUURRRR LAST STAGE CAPTIALISM!!!"""

This is why we must physically remove commies lads. (V)

wtf kind of passion doesn't fit into modern day capitalism ?

I don't want UBI if it's under any pretense that I'm supposed to actively find a job.

>inb4 "you're just a faggot that doesn't want to contribute to society"

Usually anything that can't be hijacked to make money.

If you're a long time librarian you should already know enought to answer your own question.

Because we lived in a shadow caused by the damage and destruction wreaked upon by WWII which enabled the US to be the hyper-power for the next 50+ years.

You have a want but now two billion citizens around the world have seen the image industry paint pictures of utopia in 1st world nations.

Also you're going to compete with a flood of hundreds of Julius Caeser type men genetically augmented in Chinese laboratories.

You are cursed to war and dust and the perfect clarity of anguish which leads to the acceptance of tragedy as the ruling theme in our world.

I also can't help but look at articles like this one (independent.co.uk/news/business/news/universal-basic-income-finland-useless-says-trade-union-a7571966.html) and just see endless comments underlying the statements made by anti-proponents of UBI anyways

>WAHHHH PEOPLE WONT TAKE A SHIT WAGE FOR SHIT JOBS ANYMORE

>Oh no! Ever since people were guaranteed a way to sustain themselves, they're no longer throwing themselves in front of trains and off cliffs for my shit wages and jobs anymore! Whatever will I do without my $35k a year bridge repairer!

>What? Offer MORE money for that position? Are you INSANE???

Global capitalism seems to resemble international socialism ideologicaly and economically
