Do you Americans think it is normal that an ultrasound costs 1.000$ in the U.S. if not backed by healthcare?

You can redpill me all you want, I'll swallow it. But I can not swallow your capitalist healthsystem.

Then don't ever move here, problem solved.

>Go to the doctor
>Some holds the door open for you
>Charged Extra Door holding luxury fee $500

>Forget to bring my own pen so i have to use the front desks pen
>Writing utensil fee $100

>Walk out the door
>Facial recognition software installed with the camera system scans your face then charges you $600 for just visiting the hospital

In the US it costs 1000 USD, here it costs 23,12 EUR without healthcare.

Yes, but unlike you, we don't have to live in Belgium.

USA is a capitalist piece of shit when it comes to healthcare. it is because it is a need and exploited for profit.

You're mean.

Yea, but it only costs us about a quarter to make each buck and you have to pay closer to eighty cents.

Wtf. I PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR AN ULTRSSOUND FOR A HERNIA COST 15USD IN KEKXICAN MONEY. 3 HRS OF WORK.

I personally have to pay 13.07% on my wage for social insurance (government). My employer has to pay 40% from my wage to social benefits.

Price mechanism broken by decades long efforts of government trying to make something more affordable by using third party payment methods. Doesn't mean they should vie for Gov monopolization of healthcare.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Belgium
Annual income Tax rate
In between 0 and €10,860 25%
In between €10,860 and €12,470 30%
In between €12,470 and €20,780 40%
In between €20,780 and €38,080 45%
In excess of €38,080 50%

Also all other taxes and the price of living in general is higher due to taxes and excessive regulation placed on food.

So don't buy an ultrasound.

Doctors in the US make approximately the twice in term of salary of what we do in France in Belgium.
The difference is that they have to indebt them badly for their studies while here it's free (but with a really rough selection at the gate).

However when it's repaid you easily become multimillionaire after two decades.

>buy an ultrasound

American education everyone

do you know what goes into operating and using an ultrasound? the only problem with healthcare is the shortage of doctors which is caused by shortage of schools. health insurance has nothing to do with it. you pay less because healthcare providers give a discount to insurer pools, same way your local steak house pays less per steak than you do buying one at a time, it's called wholesale. i can't believe this is what the debate hinges on every time. it should be about increasing doctors.

Americans are fucked when it comes to healthcare.

And yes people buy those, you don't need it. People gave birth before their invention. Glad you showed your french IQ

Until we gas all the fatties socialized healthcare will always be too expensive to be an option

>1.000$
I don't think you can get a procedure like that for only $1. And why would you go to three decimal places?

It's expensive because the machine is expensive. And then you have to pay for the technologist doing the scans. Then you have to pay the radiologist to interpret the image which requires many years of schooling. Then there's malpractice insurance concerns because everybody loves to sue.

t. a radiologist

Hey Goys I know how to fix healthcare!

We will create a system where a new organization pays almost the full amount!

But the prices will stay the same (or go up)!

And the organization can't pay for this itself so we'll take a little bit from everyone every two weeks to fund it!

Unless you're one of the bottom 50% of society, who is more likely to need health care

Sound good???

PS the amount you pay will TOTALLY stay the same, and will be there when you need it, it totally won't disappear

You guys realize the socialist left countries pay constantly into health care. You say your ultra sound only costs 13$ or whatever but you constantly are taxed and pay way more into healthcare and don't even.get anything for it

>In excess of €38,080 50%
God damn. Why live there.
