Because FPBP

Is this before or after taxes?

Too many debts.

>california
>21,900
Can you even survive with that?

No more econ ladder.

Because babyboomers have all the money and demand more of it.

>tfw this feels like a proper trap but faith manages

Data analyst here, I just looked through all the docs, and there is nothing really of interest in them sadly. Looks like another attempt from Julian to get attention for his book. I wish I could say there was something significant.

fell for the career meme so they went into educating for jobs wich, theoritically, provides a career but they end up in a oversaturated market,

boomers
jews

Staying in school longer on average, and a preponderance of careers that pay off later(office jobs) instead of those where value/pay are relatively flat(manufacturing).

If the power of the dollar was stronger this wouldn't matter.

Sure, if you live with your parent's and get some money protesting on the side.

> tfw I'm a 25 yo millenial and make over twice my state's average

fuck off ctr post your shills somewere else

>mfw from new england
>mfw NH is the richest state
>mfw Vermont is the poorest state
>mfw NH has a lower median income than VT

First post worst post

Just think how nice the world will be once the boomers are dead

>fell for the stem meme
>Mfw millennial in TX making over 4x the median

1) "Everybody needs a college degree! So get yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars into debt or you will NEVER get a job!"

2) "Oops there are no jobs. Now give us your entire paycheck for three decades."

Because half their Burger King money goes to paying off their liberal arts degree.

Im a millennial, but I was raised correctly and Im now a farm mapper pulling 60k a year.

>waste time
>ingest media literally all day
>socially retarded
>mentally unstable
>lazy
>no real world skills.

There's more but take your pick. International students are better than American kids.

The end.

>Why are millennials the poorest generation?
They are paid what they are worth, but seem to think they deserve more.

International students cheat and cant write

Shitskins rushes in to take all the good jobs while being paid under the minimum salary.

maybe because you didn't also factor in average cost of living.

I dont know why pretty much everyone in my year group wanted to study something, get a trade you worthless fucks!

>Californians are actually poorfags

Hahahahaha

>healthcare, tuition, and home prices rising to absurd levels while wages remain relatively flat over the past 30 years.

I don't know you tell me.

Of you just go wildly into debt by living beyond your means and then protesting about how they're shouldn't be debt, yes.

Because we have nothing to live for.

Aren't most of them in their 20s? What the fuck do you want?

>> UK study shows Millenials have highest rate of Personality Disorders

>> Go into debt for useless degree

>>Majority of student debt is in useless degrees
BUT WHY AM I POOR DESU?!

I live in Louisiana and am surprised the income is that low.
Does it factor into account millennials working part time while at University?
The reason why I think it is low for Louisiana is because most people who are 18 immediately go into trade school or go to work offshore. I have friends who are did their 2 years making 70000 as an electrician. This is also from 2014 before the oil slump, so there is definitely offshore jobs available.

They're still young and studying for careers, all this bullshit is mainstream media alarmism. Ignore it, ignore this shit slide thread. Ignore everything about "millennials," what a faggot term kek

Sage, kill yourself, faggot OP

Cost of living goes up while wages stay the way they are.

Fix the cost of living and these complaints stop if you don't want to raise wages.

We have this thread everyday with the same shitty map and same OP. You always get your answer yet you keep posting it. Why is spamming the catalog to slide actual discussion allowed?

Fuck off shareblue nigger.

>21,000
>California

That's a bit generous. Most people I know around my age either don't have a job or still work for minimum wage. Just look at all the college students who aren't Chinese. They haven't worked a day in their lives.

tfw millennial in MA with an income of $80k/year and still struggling

Because they went to college.

Learn a trade poorfucks. Learn to weld, learn to work wood, learn to fit pipes, learn to maintain heavy machinery, learn to BUILD something, the market is begging for it because there is a lack of skilled tradesmen and employers are chomping at the bit to pay you 6 figures for it.

All the opportunities were stolen by the Boomers from them. Boomers took everything and left nothing behind.

Millenials are like fat people that eat McDonald's every day and wonder why they are fat.

You need to learn how to budget nigger.

>what are Mexicans

federal income tax.

deported

It's probably because the "tradesmen make 6 figure salaries" meme is nearly as retarded as the "you need to go to college to get a job" meme.

>How small is too small? Inside the 28 sq ft, $500-month 'pod' an illustrator built into his friend's San Francisco apartment
>Peter Berkowitz, 25, constructed a tiny bedroom pod in the living room of his friend's San Francisco apartment
>One bedroom apartments in the city rent for $3,500 per month compared to his $508 per month to live in a pod
>The pod is equipped with a fold-down desk, cushioned backboard that's slanted and LED lights for reading
>He believes pods can provide a 'needed fix' for people who want to add a bedroom to apartments without rent rising
>His eight-foot-long pod is also equipped with a sliding door and has room to store his books and clothing

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3511431/Inside-eight-foot-bedroom-pod-built-San-Francisco-apartment-s-equipped-sliding-door-LED-lights.html

>tfw $32,000
Did I make it bros?

Maybe, I do have one friend I graduated with who worked a welding job since graduation which was in 2012.
He finally quit this past August, because he never got a raise over $17 an hour after being their for 5 years. He still managed to buy a new truck because he worked 20 hours of overtime every week for 1.5x pay.

Not skilled tradesmen. They are unskilled manual labor.

Lol. White people will always get a job before a Mexican unless you are a drug addict or look like a monster.

chances are, the OP is post-tax

I work a part time job at an accounting firm for 22 an hour. To add on, I am in my fifth year of University finishing up my finance / economics minor and I get paid $5200 a semester on top of school being completely covered. God bless, grants and scholarships.

Why not live in a van?

6 figures is pushing it, but its not hard to make over 50k if you are in a specialised field.

Fuck no, Teemu. That's why a lot of people are choosing the homeless alternative. I swear that stretch of tents is just getting bigger every week. It should reach the beach by the end of the year.

>tfw vegas
>tfw no rivers within 20 miles

Some actually do. Ones that are actually good. Salary is inconsistent as hell. Some years I make 90k, some years 50k. Best year I've ever had was 210k. Had back to back amazing addition jobs. Working in places like MD helps.

You can make plenty of money working in 'trades', sometimes even fucking great money. But the average meat sack plumber is often not qualified to do much more than plunge turds out of a toilet. And he is a barely literate dude running his own business.

The people that usually push trades as the solution to everything have almost no idea what they're talking about.

Because boomers set us up to open the borders to bring in the brown horde as slave labor with whites owning the businesses. Millennials didn't get the memo, though.

Why don't they move to a cheaper state?

Because they go for liberal arts

I agree with you, I think trades sometimes take just as much networking as degrees from University to become successful.
The guy who knows a trade and is good friend with a construction company executive will probably get contracted to work.

Marylander here. It's because there is an incredible lack of demand for entry level workers. If you went to school for engineering or pure math you can go work for the government, but if you went for anything else, you have to start out at entry level getting paid peanuts just for the potential opportunity to move up in an organization. Nobody believes in professional development at a low level anymore.

t. Degree holding smartguy getting paid $15/hour at Bethesda games

There arent any manufacturing jobs to employ entire towns. It used to.be you needed a plan to fail, whereas now you need a plan to exceed.

Additionally in a lot of cities, property has become totally unaffordable. The incentives to work hard (family, home ownership, autonomy) wont be avaiable to millenials until much later in life. Why should millenials bust their asses at some shitty retail job just to be unable to lead a fulfilling life?

>>Tfw my entry level starting salary is 55-60k even in a poorfag state

Maryland masterstate here.
Why do we have the highest state income for millennials?

the liberal art meme works for the average income, not for the median income

you forgot

1.5) There ARE jobs, but you need 3+ years experience to get even entry-level positions.

Unbelievable.

As in I literally don't believe it. No way millennials are actually making that much.

Student loans and poor degree choices.

Tell us about elder scrolls 6. I knew a guy who used to work for Bethesda and was telling me about TESO before they even announced it but he found a better job so I don't get insider info anymore

It depends on the industry. In media, a lot of entry level positions are "internships" which provide little actual training.

>they're still young and studying
You do realized the last millennial kids are 21 now yes?

Geez I made more than this straight out of college 30 years ago

Damn. Feels good knowing that I have zero college debt and am doing better financially than most people my age.

don't forget that many/most/all corporations have no loyalty towards their workers anymore. Even if you get an entry-level position, you are not guaranteed a chance for career advancement. You could be looking at getting "released" from your contract once the corporation has finished its current project, and you'll be out looking for another entry-level job.

You guys realize millenials are majority nonwhite, right?

>D.C.
>$43,000

Disgusting

> Be me, 11 years old, reading about future careers and which ones will be the best to have jobs in when I'm an adult
> See computer programmer and related jobs
> Remember watching Hackers and similar movies, sounds cool to me
> Spend rest of public school slacking off in class because I'm busy studying computers in my free time
> Dual-enroll in community college at 16 so that I can get free college credits
> By senior year I have 2 years of experience administrating FreeBSD servers running public websites, investigating breaches, I'd been going to a linux user's group for 4 years, could program in multiple languages, senior project was a P2P instant messaging app that uses an IRC client as a front-end, etc
> Exploit transfer loophole by attending one quarter of classes after the summer after HS graduation, so that I can get into the university without ever taking the SAT or turning in highschool transcripts
> Get entry-level tech support job for minimum wage
> Stay enrolled in community college while at university, fax credits at end of quarter, save $$
> Usurp my manager's responsibilities when he leaves suddenly, superior Google skills let me move up the ladder, being really good at bullshitting from college writing-intensive classes lets me navigate the social bureaucracy pretty easily
> Drop out of uni to take a full-time job offer at the company I was working for, salary+benefits and they pay off my student loans as a signing bonus
> Volunteer to mentor/tutor kids in computer science, other employers eat this shit up and I want to cover my bases
> tfw 25 and have an awesome credit score, reasonable and reliable car, nice apartment, qt3.14 gf, saving money for down-payment on house, am relatively healthy due to clean eating
> tfw I still look like Kramer tho and no amount of money can change that

don't forget employees have to loyalty to their comapnies anymore. Most are looking to leech as much as they can and the government encourages them to.

I fell for the STEM meme and now I make more than 4x the average income for millennials in my state.

Because of DC and the defense industry.

No matter how you look at it, the corporations win. Young people are locked into temporary contracts until they're used goods, desperate for scraps, which is exactly what they'll get.

Because we're the youngest. Our pay will increase as we get older.
>dumbasses

Minimum wage is about 21k a year in california

You fucking suck. What the fuck, man?

>Our pay will increase as we get older.

sure. Your pay will rise 5-10%, but inflation will reduce the worth of money by 25-50%.

Meanwhile, your retirement age will continue rising until you won't be allowed to retire until you're 80+.

Homes will continue rising in price, so you'll (continue) being forced to sell yourself to the banks to afford a remotely decent place. You'll be a profit-producing slave for the entirety of your life.

You won't be able to afford good healthcare, but you'll still be forced to pay for garbage healthcare that won't even cover the basic necessities.

Seems kind of like useless data, 19,000 is more than livable in Idaho, not sure about the rest though

i am 19 and unironically earn 20k; work 40 hours a week and have free rent
the game is rigged in this state to suck the money and lifeblood out of white people and give it to shitskin invaders.
saving up to start my own farm in Spain

Mississippi user here, you can live very comfortably on $19,400/yr, I know because I've been there and even lower and was fine. But how in the fuck can someone live on $21,900/yr in Commiefornia?

>$21,900/yr in Commiefornia?
that is before tax min wage tier

this

/thread

first off , there's not that many of them.
second, we are hiding the fact that we are in a depression, duh.
and then theres pic related , gives them no want to care.
no room for excess.

Where in MS? I live in New Orleans and was thinking about moving to MS because housing is becoming expensive as fuck here.

How many hours you work a week? What do you do?

Entry level jobs have more demand than supply

Late stage capitalism

>Your own farm
>In spain

Mate, do you know the state of food production in spain? They flood europe with cheap hydroponics shit food harvested by underpaid moroccans. Unless Spain leaves the EU, it's gonna stay like this for a while
