Are we really going to pretend that Trumpcare isn't Obamacare?
Premiums won't go down because they're still forced to keep high-risk people in.
There's still technically a mandate because you get punished if you have to cancel your insurance or even lose it through no fault of your own.
Vouchers. What is the fucking obsession with vouchers from the right? They want them for everything. They're like paranoid old people who still use checks because they don't understand how debit cards work.
They haven't even gotten an estimate of the cost from the budget committee. All they did was have Spicer do another show and tell by comparing document size. Yes, another fucking demonstration with props. Grow up, White House.
So yeah. Trumpcare = Obamacare 2.0. Not even Obamacare Lite. Your premiums aren't going anywhere. Up, if anything.

Even the most brain dead of Trump cultists know it's a con job that Trump/Ryan are pulling on us.

It will work, because after we kick all the freeloading Mexicans who are stealing free services from the hospital ERs out of the country, premiums will drop like a stone.

Just to make it clear, I think all of these healthcare plans are garbage because I think the healthcare system of America is garbage.
Until you can afford to pay for common medical care out of pocket without insurance at all, and I'm talking about even shit like a broken arm not making you bankrupt, then America has failed at solving healthcare.
You shouldn't NEED insurance just to be healthy. Period. Insurance is for emergencies, like like for your car or house. Needing insurance just for maintenance is fucking stupid and nonsensical and doesn't exist in any other part of our lives. Your car insurance sure as fuck won't put a new alternator on your car.

Universal healthcare isn't the solution for America because it doesn't fix the prices. All it would do is cause the government to absorb massive bills for care and medicine.
Maybe one day in the future we can evolve to a point where healthcare is just a given in society, but that sure as hell aint today.
Ryan James

Well considering we are an oligarchy ruled literally by the big pharama industry yeah I would agree in the sense there is no political action by congress on this.
But something as simple as a public option could get everyone covered on a government healthcare plan who aren't already and lower prices without adopting single payer.
Joshua Myers
I agree of course that big pharma controls healthcare policy in this country the same as big oil controls energy and everything similar. That's a problem that needs solving.
However, I don't want to reward a corrupt market by having tax dollars pay exorbitant fees for care. I don't feel that the healthcare industry deserves any kind of public option until there's a way to control costs.
Obama literally rewarded them, despite all their crying and whining. All of the major healthcare companies increased in value from the millions of new customers. Trumpcare is just the same thing. So they aren't going to change. And prices will keep going up for as long as they think they can get away with it.
Jack Sanders
it wont lower prices. public options dont do that. the only way to lower prices is to place price controls, many countries (and medicaid ) do this.
Connor Richardson

TRump isn't gonna do that, so all this stuff we are talking about is hot hair.

You don't need insurance to be healthy. Blame the people that fuck themselves up then ask for gibs
Nathaniel Price
He needs to repeal it completely.

Younger people could probably avoid seeing a doctor, though preventative care is the best way to avoid expensive illnesses.
The problem is that anyone 30 or older is going to start having health issues that need to be resolved. Ask anyone that's starting to get older and they're going to tell you that their body isn't the same anymore.
And literally anyone could end up needing dental care. Not to mention, poor dental health leads to a host of other health problems.
