I don't think about Mexico.

Honestly Mexico is aight in my book. But you have your problems with the cartels up north and shit and i think your govt is corrupt as hell. But the southern part of Mexico seems cool and the tourist areas are still pristine.

traveled to multiple different areas... tijuana, cdmx, baja california, nayarit.

people are very nice, very open. There is an easygoing attitude not present in large American cities. (opposite the Germans, basically)

Yet, they harbor some conservative values that Americans have forgotten. The importance of family, more patriarchal (can be bad in some respects, but good in others imo). People dress nicer, even adjusted for income (!). I think there is more of a respect for public places -- compared to American cities I have found a lot less vandalism and maltreatment of public parks, transportation, etc.

I am white, to the point that I stick out even among Mexicans with more European ancestry.

I guess the worst parts that I seem to notice about Mexico is that there are a lot of very wealthy people that do not share their wealth with their countrymen, they have less of a respect for the natural environment (maybe out of simple poverty), and there is more obvious corruption and graft in government. Then also some systemic inequalities, like how mestizos seem to be very disadvantaged and poorer than their countrymen.

Actually I wish the USA and Mexico could be closer friends. We share a lot more than people think. Maybe it's the language barrier. But closer collaboration on the drug issue and trade would be nice. We have a tremendous neighbor, 110 million people, right next door. Why are we doing trade across the ocean?

the people in mexico, central, and south america are all either mestizos, castizos, indigenous, and a few whites.. so i see them all the same. the dominicans and puerto ricans i see a bit different and they're loud and obnoxious. they have tons of black blood, lots are mulattos. some are even 100% black.
