Because education standards are constantly lowered to make up for dumb niggers and spics. I'm not even kidding; once it became apparent that no amount of investment into teaching these kids worked for the most part, they decided to just bring standards down so they could pass. You can see similar things in the military where standards are being lowered so women can pass the physical tests.

Lets say the average salary in a company is 40K with the lower ranking employees (men ans women) beeing paid 25K. But that company doesn't have enough women high qualifications so the average income for women is only 35K.
So what's the solution? Give a raise or a promotion preferably to women even if they don't deserve it, even if they don't make the same efforts as men to deserve it. Just for being women and correct the company's stats and don't get any penalty from the state. The result will be men losing the motivation to improve and the least qualified people costing more, so the business will either sink or relocate some or all of its activities in a country without those dumb rules.

Instead of reading classic literature or learning about ancient cultures, humanities teachers love to push watered-down essays and focus lessons on "intersectional issues." Assume that Alice and Bob work at the same job for the same allotted time. However, Alice gets paid less, in fact lets pick the standard feminist number of Alice getting paid 70% of what Bob gets.
However, As per the yearly US tradition, both Alice and Bob have to report their income to the IRS, which I think the IRS will cross reference with what Alice and Bob's company sends in.
Now, the IRS can easily see that Alice is getting paid less then Bob, why doesn't the IRS report this? They are privy to both Salary numbers and are in a position to at least inform Alice that there are people who work the same position as she does at the same company who earn more than she does? They don't especially care about overreporting income though; it would only allow the gov't to keep/tax more. Essentially, they just check for fraud.
