>Buying shit cars with glossy touch controls

I'll buy an American car when they stop making interiors out of ABS plastic and look like they were designed by Fischer-Price.

The only time it was ever worth it was in the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

I like my Ranger and Wrangler.

Depends, I would say no to about 75% of our vehicles.

When it comes to cars, don't buy anything made after 2005.

I decided the day i purchase an american brand vehicle (brand new of course) will be the day i blow a donkey...

BTW, im not a homo or a zoophile so...

The only GUD American cars are FERD because they have some europeen designers.

If you want an ITALIAN AMERICAN CAR you can buy some fiat/dodge/Chrysler/jeep products because they are all owned by wops now.

HOWEVER: The issue with murrican cars is still the UAW

Honestly I'd like a 70's Cuda' or early 60s big block Impala. There's also some more classics I like but America doesn't make cars like that anymore.

Sure the new Mustangs are fast and loud but they don't purr like an older cars engine.

>this thread again

Only good car is the corvette.
Everything is is generic garbage

New Vettes are shit.

The only Corvette I would buy would be an old stingray.

Are these people the whites of Argentine?

...

Yes.

Since my brother works for GM and I get a sick discount, yes.

>Buying brand new cars

lel pleb

>Buying American classics from 30+ years ago for a couple thousand dollars

I'm jealous you guys have access to them

But if you're going to buy a new one at least go for the good shit like a tesla, obviously the future

>this

I guess it depends on WHO you want to support in America. I haven't ever bought a car. Terrible investment. Now, I have a Ford and Chevy truck, and a Honda as my daily driver. Hondas are built close to me. So if I WERE to buy a car, it would probably be a Honda. Mostly because I would rather support the working class, and this is my 2nd Honda Acccord, I gave the 1st one I had away with over 500,000 miles on it, and this one is well over 150k with very minor issues. I guess the only other car I would consider would be a Tesla. I probably wouldn't get one though, too many networked vulnerabilities.

Cadillacs been selling cars in Europe for decades, you don't have classics?

we do, but not on the cheap like you can get them in some random forgotten middle of nowhere-ville in the US

Damn. Even our dodge factory in Browntown is spotlessly clean

No, you won't find anything that's 100% american except some food.

Most parts of cars are made in same factory for multiple brands, the software is coded in india. Only the brand is localized.

Take a look at what JD Powers has to say about brands: jdpower.com/press-releases/2016-us-vehicle-dependability-study-vds

A lot of the manufacturers are pretty close in reliability. Just take care of your car (frequent oil changes/car washes and routine maintenance) and your car should last a very long time.

American cars became good again in the mid-00s

Still, you can never go wrong with Japan

hello. i am a Romanian with a hard-on for US cars. i particularly like the cadillac ats with the 2.5 liter engine and all wheel drive. it is comparable to the 3 series by bmw almost like two pees in a pot. But would you pick this instead of an European-spec car?

...

>Engine explodes at 60k miles

KIA actually makes a decent car now 2bh. Used to be the car to shit and meme all over.

Cadillac is an underrated brand

Chevy tyrannies usually star going at 10k km

As long as none of the electronics nor anything else is made in China, and just shipped to the US for assembly.

>all you need is a cts-v wagon with a 6-speed manual

we call the wagons - berlinas. that would be a cts-v berlina. looks nice, but beacause of the engine size is 6.2 liters it will be overtaxed to the point you can buy a new cts-v in 5-7 years after you register it at our dmv.

move somewhere with freedom

with the Lord willing, i ll go for it at the green card lottery and i ll hit the jackpot.

yea

the ATS is really pretty in person. I have a neighbor who owns one and another neighbor who has a 320i. Both are pretty but the ATS stands out

reviews put it above the 3

That's pretty compelling. I've never been a fan of caddy, but I think I may be now. They're somewhat like the Rolex of car brands, though with modern manufacturing what it is now, you're paying for the name Rolex more than an uptick in quality.

You should get Focus RS
morons will just think it's a bodykit
Or a sierra cosworth

You guys stopped making good cars since the '80s. So no, not worth it.

here we say that the 320i bests the ats because it has a higher mileage. we use liters per 100 km, not miles per gallon. the 320i has 7ish liters/ 100km urban- kinda 33mpg. the ats has 9 or so liters per 100km, that is 26 mpg. big factor sincer a gallon here is kinda 4.4 dollars.

>driving a cuck wagon

well Fords are definitely preferred over Ladas around here so you know

I like Jeep.

>The only GUD American cars are FERD because they have some europeen designers.

no they don't anymore since 2010.

American brands, no. They're more likely to be made in Canada or Mexico. Foreign cars, yes. My Honda is made in Ohio.

and the average wage per month is 514 dollars

Was looking at european fords and i found this monstrosity

wtf is this? this isn't a ford

explain yourselves

how about this?

>realize honda makes more cars in america than Chrysler
ya, I'm okay with it.

You have some pretty cool cars mate. Would definitely be down for one of the modern muscle cars if carbon tax and gas weren't so ridiculous. A V8 Mustang is €120.000+ over here for instance, it's absolutely insane.

economica.net/ford-va-face-fiesta-in-romania-din-2017_73734.html
it was said that we will build this lovely piece of shit. don t hate us. only chicks and poor people buy this heap of steer crap.

>not wanting the best of all worlds of sportyness, utility, and luxury

It's not 2004 anymore, newer American cars have much better interiors.

Love my '17 wrangler unlimited and '17 Buick Regal premium ii

It depends on the car, OP. Some car models are terrible. Others are actually anywhere from average to highly reliable.

For some reason, GM has started making reliable Buicks. Rest of their lineup is pretty bad. Chrysler sucks like it always has. Ford is anywhere from bad to average to good. Ford tends to look after their truck line more than their passenger cars, they seem to care about the reputation of their F-series more than anything else, despite what their marketers will tell you.

The Japanese aren't quite what they used to be. Really need to watch yourself carefully. Nissan is a stinking pile of crap from instance. Toyota's still good, Mazda's still good, Subaru's still good. Honda has had some quality problems, you can't just trust their brand blindly anymore.

I'd say that you really need to do your research these days, don't just trust the brand.

Put in an 8-track player and some shag carpet and take a trip back to 1975.

GM and reliable never belong in the same sentence unless there is a "not" in there.

that's a ford fiesta, very economical! my mum had an older model. pic related

by buick regal, do you mean the intercoller turbocharged grand national? 3.8 liter

youtube.com/watch?v=xkAb1akJzoE

Inorite? However, and I'm referencing Consumer Reports, Buick is now one of their top 10 brands for reliability in 2016. Look it up if you don't believe me. I didn't believe it at first either.

Rest of GM is still the old familiar pile of crap I do remember from back when though.

That is not a real ford REEE
Buick is just a rebadged Opel/Vauxhall desu

GM Cadillac idiots have taken out spare tire. Every road breakdown I have ever had has been a shred tire.
Idiots do this to save a few pounds and $ and please Obama mileage requirements.
Nigger tier!

I moved from ford to a volvo I got tired of driving plastic cars with shit transmissions built for eco faggots.

I'm genuinely shocked when I see white people driving Cadillacs. I think to myself, don't they know that's a car for black people?

GMs current policy is fill car with worthless tech to make the car look nice. its all fucking trash

Chevy made in Canada
Ford made in Mexico

VW, Honda, Toyota Made in USA
what do you want to do?

My dad own a Buick it was ok slow for a 3.6 though

don't look at the new bmw 7-series interior, you'll probably go on a rampage.

The best thing about American cars is that you can get used ones for almost nothing.

I've owned Suzuki, Subaru, Honda, Toyota, Audi, Acura, Mitsubishi. Gotta say Acura/Honda is the best.

you will never drive a ford that can corner well. SAD!

Consumer Reports only tests the car when it's relatively new, it's not to be trusted. I heard that in the early 90's they claimed Saturn was just as reliable as Honda or Toyota.

Who here driving /aus/ car? Feels good.

American cars are useful in three circumstances

>Jeep Wrangler for offroad use
>Ford F250/350 and similar size pickups for work related hauling
>go very fast in a straight line with a mustang gt/corvette zo6/camaro ss/charger hellcat etc

everything else is made better elsewhere, whether it be luxury in germany or value in korea/japan.

American's can't into car's, they all break down only a year in.

The only good and desirable burger car is the Tesla.

That's a Ford Ka, senpai.

T H I S
H
I
S

the new honda accord isn't even coming to the EU market due to too much competition from audi, VW, bmw...

Holy kek!

>That's a Ford Ka, senpai.

lol

>handmade
errrrrr

i want an escort

If you need to ask that question, then instead ask yourself why you hate America.

You are right, I completely overlooked Tesla as an american brand.

All of french cars are assembled by sandniggers though.

Backpage...

oh wait you can't backpage anymore in burgerland. damnnnnnnn where is your freedoms?

Lol, I was in one years ago that went through a ditch so fucking fast we actually barely felt it. Didn't come to a stop until we nearly hit the next one. Fuckin black ice... Thank fuck the ditch wasn't embanked or we were paralysed...

The only reason Tesla is desirable is because rich people drive them. They're craptastic cars, full of bugs and design/manufacturing defects.

Watch how many people start cursing Tesla if they ever roll out their high volume model.

Hate to say it, but the Japs are the only ones that can build cars well, I used to say Germany, but the running costs once the warranty falls off are sky-high. Used to own a Subaru, now I have an Audi and I plan on going back to either another Subaru or maybe a Lexus if they stop designing hideous cars.

i want an RS200

Electric cars are a fad
If we ever switch away from gas completely it will be to hydrogen

They are rather rare. I used to see a few in jew york when i lived there. Here i've only seen one.

I see 10-15 ferraris/bentleys etc each day but have only seen 1 tesla this year

I didn't think so, so I bought Bavarian.

Germans have very carefully and meticulously engineered their cars to be trouble free for the term of one lease period. After that, you're rolling the dice and the odds are against you.

>literally driving a hearse

>wanted a lotus elise for about a decade
>getting close to a career where I can easily afford one
>they're going bankrupt and even chink companies won't buy them
Why is life always suffering in the end.

you are better off buying an alfa 4c to be honest.

they serve the same basic function, being a shitty care that is lightweight and fun to track.

not too expensive either

the lotus carlton is my dream car. they just keep going up in price though. at least $50000 for a good one now...

It's $40k vs $60k but the bigger problem is that I hate the front ends of alfa's.

I was also looking at the miata RF because miatas are almost to the point where they're not an enormous embarrassment to be seen driving in....almost.
Lotus has a ton of older cars that aged like fine wine. I hope they don't die this year but it's looking like that's what's going to happen.

Tesla is very popular here in the Bay Area. Since everyone here is rich as fuck, the Model S cars are all over, and they even have their own free charging stations at various parking lots.
