thing is though - pannekoekenrestaurants do well with nostalgia. they need the old spelling - there's an 'independent body' of linguists changing the 'official' language every 10 years. basically it's a bunch of over-educated cunts keeping themselves busy, changing things and then changing them back later. first they tried to eliminate all hard c's (sounding like a k), so my parents learned almost every word with a k. then they reintroduced the hard c and i learned many words with a c.
