Varied based on country: I have a very positive perception of Estonia and most Western Slavic nations, I now like Poland quite a lot thanks to Sup Forums changing my perception of it. Lithuania seems like a bit of a shithole, as does Belarus. I once participated in a donation drive that was going towards Belorussian children. The Southern Balkan states seem like poor countries for the most part, but I do have a Serbian friend who seems like a regular western NEET. Estonia, Hungary and Czechia seem like the best Eastern countries to me, I would like to go to all three one day.

Yes, it's a breathe of fresh air to see countries determine their own policies without interference from the european jew. Obviously not every country in Eastern Europe can say the same, but seeing stuff like Hungary's reaction to migrants, I like what I'm seeing from your region.

The lessons that Eastern Europe has learned is almost alien to western culture. We haven't suffered the same that you have, we grew up with lessons of conformity to the ideal of democracy, you grew up with the grim lessons of brutal communism. I fear we will fall into a pathological totalitarianism over time, and introducing literature that deals with these themes (Gulag Archipelago for example) into Western teachings would only be positive for us.

It's not that fucking bad. Yeah we have fair share of alcoholics, drug addicts and prostitutes but it's nowhere near the level of favelas in southern america. Unless you live in the worst district in a big city in eastern europe, you don't see a lot of that, and for downtowns, unless it's a friday night and you are fond of visiting dive bars.
I have lived in Denmark for 8 months and this convinced me that yes, the balts are in eastern europe. I am well aware the Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, Russia and Moldova are less fortunate in their living standard, but compared to Denmark, any western european country is still 50 years ahead in terms of living standard, infrastructure and societal development. That is not to say we should totally legalize all sorts of gay marriages, zoophilias and what not, just saying that there is an alternate way, where we disregard degeneracy, but still regard the good, successful developments like new technologies, for example.
