FvD is PVV but more appealing to intellectuals, wheras the PVV is more appealing to the working class. I think it's a smart idea to split the vote because this increases the reach of far-right parties. A lot of higher educated people who are upset with immigration and the left are hesitent to vote for Wilders, because his viewpoints are very vague and often more socialistic. These people would have voted VVD before and now go to FvD.
