Moving is actually pretty expensive. It's even worse if you're trying to move to a better neighborhood since any equity you have will always be inferior to where you're going.
That assumes you actually have equity, more often than not you're renting and unless you can secure a job first moving into a new apartment just isn't economically feasible.
