Why Sup Forums praises Pinochet and not the glorious generals of the Brazilian military regime, who, besides having placed insects in the communists' hands, still pillar Brazil, not letting the liberal bullshit enter our borders.

All true..

in your mind.
fuck me, but I'd rather live in a safe, closed Military Government society than the "free", criminal-ruled society we have nowadays. my only complaint is that the ban on imports was very, very stupid.
This, desu. Would love to see degenerates "disappear".
The world lost all respect for you after 1889.
That law of national computing was crude, but in the context of the time it made sense, because there is no concept of information technology that we have today.
I agree with you, in those times our countries together gave a nice beating to the socialists of Paraguay. AVE GLORY, AVE EMPIRE!
When I think of a brasilian, i immediately think of malandro. That word should be on the national flag.
I understand how you feel, I imagine the same thing about fat people and the USA.
>rather live in a safe, closed Military Government society
Whenever I am in Brasil, I always tell my friends that they should demand a military dictatorship.
Our flag actually says: "Nada acotece feijoada"
Which translates to "Order and progress", something we do not see around here...
>I imagine the same thing about fat people and the USA
Yes, the USA has some terrible genetic stock.
>Nada acotece feijoada
Loved that!! And today is the day for feijoada.
In fact, Brazil too, I think it is due to the fusion of races. But both countries produce good sluts and good soldiers, and that's enough.
>"Drugs, sluts and gays. Welcome to Brazil"
Should be our new motto
where do you live? Have you been in the Northeast much? That's where you can see the really good stock of Brasil. Especially a place like Fortaleza.
>Drugs, sluts and gays. Welcome to Brazil"
>Should be our new motto
Yeah, that's the motto of Rio for sure.
>Brazilian military regime>>>>>Pinochet regime
>Let comunists take the education
So true

Any brasilieros in here that are from SC, RS, or PR?
I'm from RS.
>No, we aren't white
You are sound a lot like a fellow macaco from HUElandia living in the US of A, where you from gringo?
i really like RS, SC, and PR. Great places. Lots of great people. Actually lots of great people all over Brasil - honestly just fantastic people. Cariocas are generally not that good though - in my experience.
Have you ever driven the 'hell road'? The strip of land (beach) between Chui and Rio Grande? I am not talking about the #471 road. I mean the beach.
>You are sound a lot like a fellow macaco
Honestly, i am not brasiliero. But i have spent a lot of time in Brasil. Been in almost every state.
>why tho?
>lot like a fellow macaco
though i have spent a lot time with real macacos. They shit all over my car one time.
They were both shit
pawns of the Oligarchy and the Catholic Church like all Iberian colonies
The best you could say was the kept order
But what an order it was, a race mixed feudal hell holes based on the old haciendas, little better than serfdom.
On this peasantry, instead of being European is both African and Mestizo/Pardo
for work, for travel, for fun. I have a lot of friends in Brasil.
lots of wonderful national parks to visit. Amazing things to see.
Bless your heart then, very rare to see a gringo that actually likes this place, most of us don't even like it.
that's a great map. I've always said that Brasil is three countries, one flag. Europe in the south, Africa in the northeast, and Papua New Guinea in the northwest.
>most of us don't even like it.
You just have to learn to appreciate the good things about brasil. Like the nature. The strong family bonds. The bonds with friends. It's unique. We don't have those bonds in the US.
>very rare to see a gringo that actually likes this place
you don't say
How industrialized is the north west
has the rain forest been all bulldozed down yet?
>north west
Well, obviously most of it is amazonia. And most of that is virgin forest. It's so big that deforestation is only chipping away at tiny parts of it. But there are some industrial zones in the northwest - like Manaus and Boa Vista. Both of which look as good as any city in the south.
we can turn it around, guys. it's not too late.
He's a false prophet though.
Temer is the only one that can make this country great.
Nice example of the two kinds of gringo when it comes to Brasil: the one who knows that most of it is not a favela shithole, just wild nature and the inner cities are very humble conservative family driven places, and the other one that crunches magic numbers into colorful meaningless graphs not knowing life most of it is favelados killing each other in the typical nigger behavior that is in their blood. Life is actually bretty fuggin good in São Paulo if you live in the smaller cities, know how to cheat on taxes and avoid niggers at all costs.
The military rule had its merits in annihiliating leftists on the background but they basically lost the culture war to themselves. Saved us from communist revolution but delivered us into cultural revolution.
Brazil is a liberal shithole because of the dictatorship. By censoring everything and thrashing the educational system, they left the perfect context to allow the growth of subversive Leftist ideals. Let me explain.
>censorship
When you censor something, people is immediately drawn to read what has been censored, as it is perceived as something the government fears. Most artistic works suffered with it and created an atmosphere of resentment among the artists and curiosity among the people. The universities, on the other hand, started to protest it by flat out preaching against the government and imperialism. Notice how this kind of leftist speech became popular only after 1964.
>education
Education before the dictatorship was pretty good actually, but not everyone had access to it. Pursuing fast economic development, the government thrashed quality over quantity. Their curriculum was made to create workforce instead of citizens. High school was/is actually a technical course and does not care about the intellectual formation of the student. That's why we got so much maths and physics, but so little history and geography nowadays.
Tbh i despise the military regime. They tried to find easy and fast solutions to hard problems, while they hid their own incompetence. Don't be fooled, our country is the direct product of the dictatorship, and is shit because of it.
I'm going to red pill you malandros on what exactly the problems with brasil actually are, since you probably haven't been told.
The main problem with brasil is its geography. yes, that's correct. About 50km or so from the coast is a very steep (2000m i think) plateau. It is impossible to build a railroad from the coast up onto this plateau - ok,not impossible, but extremely expensive and difficult. It is also difficult to build roads up onto this plateau. So that means that the transportation costs to get things from the ports to the interior and back is extremely expensive. Which means that brasil cannot grow very fast, otherwise inflation. I don't know if you remember the 'Real Plan', but the idea was to keep growth very low so that inflation couldn't happen. Brasil needs to start transporting things from the interior to the Rio Parana, Rio Uruguay, and Rio Paraguay, and then out the Rio de la Plata. That's the only way....but notice that none of those rivers are in Brasil.
>none of those rivers are in Brasil
All of them are.
I really wouldn't object to turning Brazil back into a rain forest
>cheat on taxes
You could use that as proof of having Mediterranean ancestry
>none of those rivers are in Brasil
>All of them are.
Not the navigable parts of those rivers.
Brasil has very little navigable rivers except for Amazon.
>censorship
Nah, the problem with censorship back then was that they didn't censor ENOUGH. They really only censored obscene shit or openly communistic propaganda. When you listen to something like Chico Buarque's "Cálice", you can only conclude that either the censors were clinically retarded or the censorship wasn't as bad as we are told it was.
Seriously, censorship works as a tool for suppressing dissent.
We had our chance.
It's hard but is FAR from impossible. Brazil had plans in the past, mainly on Predro II's government, to build more railroads, and they kept going for while during the First Republic, but I think they left the railroads on the hands of private companies, wich is bad since getting profit from railroads is slow as fuck, but looking at the highways they build here, yes, is absolutely possible to build the railroads with the taxes we pay
But you know, taxes in Brazil are for the social programs, to support the commie groups and to pay our true president, George Soros, not for boring things like infrastructure.
>still pillar Brazil, not letting the liberal bullshit enter our borders
what?
do you really have a right wing deep state?
Only the Amazon basin is almost the size of Europe. In addition, Brazil has several navigable rivers, such as Prata, Paraíba and formerly the São Francico before communists dry it with a failed transposition.
There are now 23,000km of navigable rivers ready for water transport, but only 8500km are used.
We find someone who has not been redpiled yet.
>right wing
>Liberal
SC, best state by far
no i'm actually curious
how has the army prevented liberal bullshit form entering the country
OP is completely retarded.
Pinochet fucking saved and built the path for a prosper economic future within Chile while our dictatorship was completely leftist in its economic guidance, you just need to read about how they sacked Roberto Campos in exchange for Delfim Netto to create the "economic miracle" of the 70s and rendering Brazil into a middle-income trap.
Stop being a retard.
>but looking at the highways they build here, yes, is absolutely possible to build the railroads with the taxes we pay
I didn't say all railroads, I said railroads from the coast and up onto the plateau. Do you know the story of the Mauá Railroad? Get a map and see just how many other coast to interior railroads there are.
>There are now 23,000km of navigable rivers ready for water transport, but only 8500km are used
Navigable for Panamax shipping boats? No. not many
Literally by allowing left/keynesian policy in Brazil they allowed the left to accuse them of economical misguidance and created a culture of dependency on the state for economic prosperity in Brazil, instead of what happened with Chile, literally creating a culture that is very against sound economic ideas and allowing the left to prosper.
The military are literally shit.
they tried to keep liberal bullshit away, but ever since the regime ended the libs use it as a talking point on how "evil" the "far-right" can be.
most old people I know, who lived through that era, confirmed it wasn't as bad as the libs say it was.
Both of you don't understand the basic problem - geography.
they didn't. their whole policy WAS guided by a fucking leftist. Delfim Netto is probably the more knowledgeable researcher on Marx that Brazil had, finance minister during the dictatorship and economic guru for the left.
The leadership of the military in Brazil during the dictatorship were completely retarded.
nope. Brazil's geography is very favourable for develoment. The whole issue is the retarded culture.
I see what you mean
There has to be a way to build them, though, maybe a tunnel that pierces the plateu and ramps upwards?
I don't know, I'm not a railroad especialist
Nobody in Brazil is, actually
>Uruguay dictatorship: 140 commies killed
>Chilean dictatorship: ~3k commies killed
>Brazilian dictatorship: ~4k commies killed
>Argentine dictatorship: ~30k commies killed
aaaand we have a winneeeerrr!!!
>About 50km or so from the coast is a very steep (2000m i think) plateau. It is impossible to build a railroad from the coast up onto this plateau -
>Both of you don't understand the basic problem - geography.
>nope. Brazil's geography is very favourable for develoment. The whole issue is the retarded culture.
hue. at least you tried amerinon
nope. genes are the problem.
Brazilian military regime killed about 350 commies, not 4 thousand.
by far the best talent in all of Brasil
but the wimmins are blonde
well that just strengthens the point
how the fuck the dictatorship of the biggest nation in South America killed only 350 commies? that's just pathetic
Uruguay: 2.8 million population at the time, 140 killed
Brazil: 100 million population at the time, 350 killed
like wtf? because lets get real, DICTATORSHIPS DID NOTHING FOR OUR COUNTRIES IN THE LONG RUN
we are all nowadays leftists ridden shitholes anyway, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, all leftists governments, leftist shitholes
the only good thing of it was the gommie highscores and nothing else
this
são paulo and the rest of the south are actually pretty civilised and developed. the real shitshow commences on rio to the north
Redpill about who was the best: Vargas Era or Brazilian military government (by USA)?
>wanting someone to tell you what to do
IMPOSTO É ROUBO E SAIAM DA MINHA PROPRIEDADE
NONE
the state is inherently immoral
sr user, Chile is based
the portuguese colonial times
To build RR you just need some grants as incentive to companies

Pessoa one question
any cities for gringo to check out, w/o massive amounts of degeneracy and where I won't get stabbed. Also white qts of course
Fuck all your shitholes. Only cucks respect failures.
You are right. The point is most commies were the children of rich and influencial brazilian people, so the military regime didn't go full witch hunt against them like Chile did. They were let alone in the universities, a big mistake.
Florianópolis, Curitiba or São Paulo, the further south you go, the lesser is the fuckparty
floripa only during summer though right?
Curitiba i've heard is good but people aren't super nice/ hard to meet people
thoughts on PoA? seems like a dangerous yet decent place with a good nightlife
I don't like much the leaders of the movement, but the South is my Country
en.wikipedia.org
the more north you go, the dumber the people
not an argument.
The point in question was the affirmative that Sao Paulo and the 3 southern states are civilized.
Murder rates prove the affirmative is false.
Thanks for your answers. I guess Vargas was better.
oh sure
the highest economics hubs in the country are not civilised because they have slightly more crime that shitholes in the north where people cannot even read properly.
Pinochet is baby's first edge.
>I'm edgy and hate communists, but I'm not a racist, please don't hate me.
you keep citing Pinochet when Videla has a ten times higher score and was way more effective and ruthless...
anyway, offtopic just read this and it's too funny:
gotta have to work on that steak quality meu amigos
oh you dont know about all the cardboard they found embedded on our meat
This. Deodoro da Fonseca should be considered a traitor by any Brazilian nationalist
>the highest economics hubs in the country are not civilised because they have slightly more crime that shitholes in the north where people cannot even read properly.
forget the north.
If the north didn't exist, the south would still have 13.0 + /100000 homicides.
eehm... i don't, what happened?
give me a link please brbro?
couple of points about the north
1) Sertao
2) Amazonia
You try building a civilization with those two things to work with.
You should have put Plinio Salgado in charge, joined with Argentina, and formed a 2nd Axis after WW2 with Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Argentina.
...
would be very interesting...if gauchos could learn to speak Portuguese.
Vargas went from quasi-fascist to US buddy to quasi-commie in 20 years. He just cared about being in charge, nothing more.
What? Whole Brazil speaks portuguese.
yeah, good idea. The US navy definitely wouldn't be able to blockade Brazil and Argentina up tighter than a choir boy's ass.
