It will never be able to repay the debt and the inlfux of muslims and blacks from africa will eventually displace then replace the Greek population. As things continue to deteriorate, Greeks themselves will be at each others throats if they arent killed off by muslims and blacks. If any survive, they will be in the diaspora. In 25 years or so, Greece will be in worse shape than Albania was after the fall of communism. In 50 years or so, you will be lucky to find a Greek in that country at all.

The EU is defective by design. Greece doesn't even have the luxury of exiting because they have no currency of their own.

This. The EU wants to push the issue oast the elections and avoid populist leaders winning. Greece has alot of influence right now but will lose it after these elections. Greece should just declare default and watch the geeman and french banks panic and credit dry. You'll be surprised how quickly the ECB will agree with the IMF for debt relief. One is the populist wing, which basically is right wing on national and immigration issues, but left-wing on economic issues. This "populist right" has been dominating the party for decades, except one time in 1993.
(what this means is, in the past when we elected left-wingers we got socialist policies and when we elected right-wingers we got socialist policies again)
The other one is the liberal wing. It's more centrist on national and immigration issues, but they call the Greek economy the last soviet state in Europe. They are free-market. These guys won the last internal ND elections.
The party as a whole is hard to define because the liberal wing did not purge the populists from the party. Their policies and reforms will be pro-market for sure, they're talking about massive gov't spending cuts and tax cuts. But on immigration, there's different opinions in the party.
It's encouraging that the most prominent far-right winger in the party was picked as vice president. He's hard on immigration, in the past he was in a fringe far-right nationalist party.

Some Greeks (the right-wing oriented ones obviously) claim junta did a lot of things right, especially when it comes down to the economy. The truth is, they did shit. Junta didn't magically eliminate the national debt. The thought alone that they would extinguish this debt, which has been rolling since the creation of the modern Greek state is ridiculous. They were also corrupt, as they were known to do political-economical favors for known businessmen at the time. There's a stereotype about military men being as much corrupt as the other public servants -I believe it exists for a reason. If a modern junta did assemble, I think they'd be even more incompetent than the one of the 60's-70's. That junta is a fairy-tale for old and ignorant people living outside of Athens. I once heard an old man talking to a bus driver, it was at a Greek village. He was telling him, that if we Junta was ruling, he'd get a new bus instead of the older one he was driving (the bus was actually pretty new for greek village standards). Can you imagine these people "fixing" Greek economy?
