Compare the six days of the book of Genesis

Compare the six days of the book of Genesis
To the four billion years of geologic time
On this scale, one day equals about 666 million years.
All day Monday, until Tuesday noon,
Creation was busy getting the Earth going.
Life began on Tuesday noon,
And the beautiful organic wholeness of it
developed over the next four days.
At 4 PM Saturday the big reptiles came;
Five hours later, when the redwoods appeared,
there were no more big reptiles.

At three minutes before midnight, man appeared.
At one-fourth of a second before midnight, Christ revolted.
At one-fortieth of a second before midnight, the Industrial Revolution began.

We are surrounded by people who think
that what we have been doing
for one-fortieth of a second
can go on indefinitely.
They are considered normal.
But they are Stark. Raving. Mad.

Earth Not that old bro... your science teacher lied to you... and touched you.... and raped you..

>reading the bible literally
It's a book of parables. It's to teach you how to live in a stable society. The idea is that even God rested on the 7th day. Stop being a fool.

It will collapse, suddenly and beautifully. Hope your spiritual shit is packed.

Digits confirm truth

this! christ chan is so based too xD

Civilization is not built to last. When the day comes that we run out of things to build, settle, explore or conquer, it's all over.

Day of wrath and doom impending.
David's word with Sibyl's blending,
Heaven and earth in ashes ending.
Oh, what fear man's bosom rendeth,
When from heaven the Judge descendeth,
On whose sentence all dependeth.
Wondrous sound the trumpet flingeth;
Through earth's sepulchres it ringeth;
All before the throne it bringeth.
Death is struck, and nature quaking,
All creation is awaking,
To its Judge an answer making.
Lo, the book, exactly worded,
Wherein all hath been recorded,
Thence shall judgement be awarded.
When the Judge his seat attaineth,
And each hidden deed arraigneth,
Nothing unavenged remaineth.
What shall I, frail man, be pleading?
Who for me be interceding,
When the just are mercy needing?
King of Majesty tremendous,
Who dost free salvation send us,
Fount of pity, then befriend us!
Think, kind Jesu! – my salvation
Caused Thy wondrous Incarnation;
Leave me not to reprobation.
Faint and weary, Thou hast sought me,
On the Cross of suffering bought me.
Shall such grace be vainly brought me?
Righteous Judge, for sin's pollution
Grant Thy gift of absolution,
Ere the day of retribution.
Guilty, now I pour my moaning,
All my shame with anguish owning;
Spare, O God, Thy suppliant groaning!
Through the sinful woman shriven,
Through the dying thief forgiven,
Thou to me a hope hast given.
Worthless are my prayers and sighing,
Yet, good Lord, in grace complying,
Rescue me from fires undying.
With Thy sheep a place provide me,
From the goats afar divide me,
To Thy right hand do Thou guide me.
When the wicked are confounded,
Doomed to flames of woe unbounded,
Call me with Thy saints surrounded.
Low I kneel, with heart's submission,
See, like ashes, my contrition,
Help me in my last condition.
Ah! that day of tears and mourning,
From the dust of earth returning
Man for judgement must prepare him,
Spare, O God, in mercy spare him.
Lord, all-pitying, Jesus blest,
Grant them Thine eternal rest. Amen.

Deep shit man

>When nations rage, and fears erupt coercive,
>The drumbeats sound, invoking pious cause.
>My neighbors rise, their stalwart hearts they offer,
>The gavels drop, suspending rights and laws.
>While others wield their swords with blind devotion;
>For peace I'll stand, my true and steadfast cause.

I hate to tell you this, but you're off by billions of years

big if true

And then contemporary skyscrapers were so very anonymous—no signs or names, no pinnacle statues or weathercocks or crosses, no distinctive facades and cornices, no architectural ornament at all: just huge blank slabs of featureless stone, or concrete or glass that was either sleekly bright with sun or dark with shadow.

Well, no. Most of the Bible is History, listing genealogies. The only parables in the Bible were quoted by Jesus...contained in only 4 of the 66 books that comprise the Bible. Much of the Bible is also Prophecy...and fulfilled Prophecy.

At any particular time of history there have always been one or two cities of the monstrous sort -- viz., Babel or Babylon, Ur-Lhassa, Nineve, Syracuse, Rome, Samarkand, Tenochtitlan, Peking -- but we live in the Megapolitan (or Necropolitan) Age, when such disastrous blights are manifold and threaten to conjoin and enshroud the world with funebral yet multipotent city-stuff. We need a Black Pythagoras to spy out the evil lay of our monstrous cities and their foul shrieking songs, even as the White Pythagoras spied out the lay of the heavenly spheres and their crystalline symphonies, two and a half millennia ago.

Young earth creationism is unironically probably true
This video changed my life and I encourage all anons to watch it, yes well worth the time part 1 and two make up.

Since we modern city-men already dwell in tombs, inured after a fashion to mortality, the possibility arises of the indefinite prolongation of this life-in-death. Yet, although quite practicable, it would be a most morbid and dejected existence, without vitality or even thought, but only paramentation, our chief companions paramental entities of azoic origin more vicious than spiders or weasels

There have been many earths, many realities similar to our own. It's all simply a test, if we pass, this reality ascends to join the real one. If we fail, this universe is recycled, another earth, another test, the sparks which dwell in our vessels return to where they came.

The electro-mephitic city-stuff whereof I speak has potencies for achieving vast effects at distant times and localities, even in the far future and on other orbs, but of the manipulations required for the production and control of such I do not intend to discourse in these pages.

Fair enough, I'm heading off anyway. Thanks for the thread user

> implying christ ever lives
There's no actual evidence that Jesus of the bible ever existed.
