We would have less islamic terrorism, since NATO wouldn't have to finance and arm fanatics to keep the military industrial complex going.
What's the use of a military pact if you can't wage war, after all.
We wouldn't have invaded Iraq, al qaida would still be fighting the ussr, isis wouldn't excist, mubarak would still rule Egytp and Gadaffi would still rule Lybia.
Also, there would be no rapefugies swarming Europe.
The Cold war might have been tense, but it was a stanle period. Now NATO has to invent new enemies and allow terror attacks to happen so the public will demand protection, boosting the MIC.
