Regarding the rate of useful idiots on this board, I suppose that about 99.99% of them could potentially be put into that group from a Duginist perspective (especially the North-American ones, lacking any useful historical knowledge and relationship to pre-modern ways). Unfortunately, the leftist push against contemporary Russian geo-politics only solidifies the sympathy of White, right wing people for Russia and its puppets on the European continent.
To realize how depleted and useless today's so called right-wing philosophy is, one only has to think about how the non-plus-ultra of right-wing essence of our days is thought to be incarnated by the views of the National(!) Socialist(!) German Workers'(!) Party(!) - 4 of those 5 words denoting inherently leftist ideas - or, horribile dictu, in Fascism.
Furthermore, Dugin's unable followers (e.g Guillaume Faye, Richard Spencer) have a tendency to ramble incoherently about Traditionalism and claim to (somewhat) identify with its views (just like "the Master" himself), which is a strange thing, regarding the fact that they follow the man who started the "National Bolshevist Party" of Russia.
To be clear though, the source of being a "useful idiot" for Dugin does not necessarily lie in the soul of those people (contrary to the case of leftists) but rather, in their lack of knowledge on these topics.

This. Most of Dugins sources and clash points between the topics come from his English and Russian audiences both of whom are presented with factually different opinions from Dugin himself.

Indeed. From my point of view, Putin typically is careful about not going too far or being too obvious. I'm not saying he's a nice guy or anything, but he is shrewd.
And on the other hand you have to notice that there really is a very strong organic rebellion going on. I would suggest too strong because it has been repressed for too long, but at least it's occurring within some context of self-awareness that I hope will keep things from going unbalanced.
