Scandinavian Socialism

Countries like Sweden and Norway are hailed as socialist paradises. How true is this? I know most of these nations have huge taxes, but what else is wrong with them?

too many brown people

Surely there is some sort of economic issue that they are hiding. Also what about their education system?

None of those countries are actually socialist. Socialism means no private ownership of industry. Both those countries have mixed economies.

High taxes are not socialist, regulation is not socialist, health care and education are not socialist, it's government ownership of all industry that is socialist.

When someone tells you those countries are socialist, you tell them they have market economies.

Note that any country leftists hail as a "socialist" country is really a "white" country.

Literally, for the last 3 decades, try to find a leftist hailing a "socialist" country as an example to follow that was historically black or Arab

Socialism will only work if everyone is contributing. They have an influx of lazy sand niggers who want gibs, putting a deficit on a system that maybe have worked for them in the past.

Nordic countries are propped up by NATO, so they dont have to put too many resources into defense

Sweden is not in NATO

I will keep that in mind. I knew that but I wasn't very clear before. Can they sustain their free college and healthcare for much longer?
I would be willing to bet that Sweden still benefits from having Nordic Nations nearby that are part of NATO

not socialist at all

sweden and finland aint in NATO tho

If they're not being a dumbass like Sweden and taking refugees in by the boatload, yes.

Policies like free healthcare and free college are somewhat socialist in nature. I guess I'm asking how are they propping it up? I read in a few articles that they have a really high tax rate, but still have good college and mediocre healthcare still. Is this sustainable?

Are the cucks in Sverige waking up yet? Genuinely curious.

How are they sustaining it so well though? It's such a huge tax rate and their economy seems to be stagnating, yet their education remains very high?

the means of production aren't owned by the workers and private ownership is a thing; so no, not socialist at all. it's a mixed economy, the state can interfere, but privatization etc. is a thing.

sweden, denmark and finland are doing okay, and they don't have the oil money norway has. but it's looking worse and worse, the younger generations won't get gibsmedats when they retire like the boomers did

Ask Norway.

we earn a ton of cash on average, so we get by despite the taxes

I see. Thank you for explaining it.

>Highest employment rates in the world.
>Amongst the highest productivity rates in the world.

It works because people work. Our income tax isnt that much higher than yours actually. There is also a big difference in spending. We dont spend too much on bullshit. No funding for the private sector etc. They have to stand on their own.

Also the goverment runs hospitals etc. They save money off of those by charging small premiums of the patients. There are no private sector hospitals, but there are private clinics and private doctors.

Somalians dont work though. 1/3 of them are employed. The rest is on benefits. The more of them we take, the less we are going to tolerate the tax level.

Would you attribute this to you being very ethnically and culturally homogenous? And does it show any signs of slow down? Lastly do you think if the US pulled out of NATO, do you think you would be spending much more on Military and thus have less to spend on social programs?

>what else is wrong with them
leading question, but I think the public healthcare sucks. I've had a medical problem lately, and I've been to a ton of different doctors. Nobody knows shit, it's all very unprofessional, I'm being sent around in the system, they're arrogant or annoying etc. etc.

So you think the wait times are a problem. Is the quality good though?

>Would you attribute this to you being very ethnically and culturally homogenous? And does it show any signs of slow down? Lastly do you think if the US pulled out of NATO, do you think you would be spending much more on Military and thus have less to spend on social programs?

Yes on both accounts. Military would have to increase without USA support. (Norway is the second largest spender on military per person after USA so the Americans would surely stay on our side in a defence pact or a rework of NATO - we are essentially the kid in the class doing exactly what we are told)

The reason we have high social trust is because we are ethnically homogenous. People trust their neighbours, community and government. High trust in government is a pre-requisit for people being willing to pay high taxes.

Once we become ethnically diverse that trust is going to disappear. Taxes are going to come down because people dont want to pay for the "others" because the others dont look like them.

Once taxes comes down there is no funding for the social programs and welfare state.

Okay, thank you for your explanation.

If you have money then go to the private sector.

The public sector is meant for people that cant afford it. Which also means that most of the people that they deal with are shitskins and poor people. I reckon i would be dead-tired of my job as well if i had to deal with those types of people all day long.

Yes. SD is becoming the biggest party. Election 2018 will tell.

no, as I said, it's unprofessional and nobody knows anything. it doesn't make sense to be sent from one doctor to the next again and again. it seems like a total mess.

>socialist
>paradise
you've a lot of learning to do, my friend

So i can tell you the three major declines we have had over the last decades.

Elementrary school food and equipment

Elder care

Hospital service

>Right wing government fucked your public services.

>Left wing AND right wing fucked your immigration.

>Jews run all your major mediahouses (Bonnier family is jewish)

The only solution is jimmy or riot.

Agreed. I have high hopes for the 2018 election

Well, that's the narrative of our media. I don't think it's true but i'd rather see how untrue it is.

The problem in Finland is that free moneys is too reliable. Some jobs are not even worth considering because the government hands you out more. I'm surprised if there isn't a major reform happening in the next 5 years.

How has Elementrary school and Elder care declined?

>If you have money then go to the private sector.
I'm considering it, because I fear I might go blind because of these fuckwits.

Just wanted to thank everyone who responded to this. Glad I got a bunch of Nordic flags to reply.

our definition of socialism is really just we believe in taxation and state controlled (to some degree) society, lots of restrictions and taxes on things like alcohol and cars, things a normal person would consider "luxury" items, in turn the incomes from those taxes go towards helping weaker members in society

it'd probably be possible to say that there is literally no lower class in norway, and that upper middle class is super common

our definition of "socialism" changes all the time depending on the government and what people want anyways

whenever it's being defended someone pulls the "our oil was discovered by foreigners so we cant claim all this for ourselves", le cuck mentality

tl;dr: our "socialist" government is based on that everyone should contribute to aid those less fortunate, and that the government knows best whats good for the people

Regarding Elementrary School it has to do with cut funding and immigrant children setting pressure on them. As far as Elder care goes pensions has gone shit and those who needs home service usually gets shit quality service from private companies hired to do the job by the local governments in the regions.
