The Bundeswehr has very limited deployment options. Only like 1,5% of troops are actually deployed and it would take years. I want to give something back to the people in Rojava and i think my skills would come in useful, since i'm fluent in Kurmanji.

Dresden was part of Harris' terror bombing plan. I'm not privy to the doctrine of the SAAF but I wouldnt be surprised if they still thought terror bombing worked; it's also possible they only bomb cities because they can only bomb fixed targets due to how shitbtheir air force is. Intent is important - if the SAAF bombs civilian areas because they think it will cause capitulation, then Im perfectly willing to call them murderers again. But I dunno how youd ever find that out and in any case, theyre killing smackbars so Im less inclined to care.

They dont, but it's always easier to land at a flat open tarmac under friendly control than a barren field in the middle of nowhere. Also, its quicker in the short terk than loading up a C130 and flying ot in; I dont even think the runway is suitable for landings by fixed-wing aircraft yet.
