I just checked Reddit out for the first time. What's so bad about it? It's userbase seems much more sane than the people here, and there is a subreddit for virtually anything, making a board dedicated to a certain topic easier to find.
I just checked Reddit out for the first time. What's so bad about it...
...
Bye.
I'm not leaving. But I think I'll browse both sites
terrible memes and humor
regurgitate 6 month old Sup Forums memes in their psuedo-intellectual jon stewart imitation style humor
"le science" new athiest faggots everywhere
bye
Gonna suckle this sweet bait but not gonna lie; I browse both too. I think it's good to see a place where a Left leaning bias can flourish like Reddit and then come compare it with the right leaning threads here.
I've been there a couple times. The subreddit idea is pretty cool, but then you pick all your little sub reddits and a form of Reddit perfectly aligned with your interests is going to be what you're exposed to. And that's great if you don't want to experience content you might have not known you're interested in.
The upvote system is also absolute fucking shit. Internet points? Really? And don't even get me started on community censorship. Ridiculous.
And what the fuck is up with all the "MY DAD FROM THE 70S AT A BEACH IN MADAGASGAR".
Seriously, who gives a fuck about that shit? How much time are you trying to waste?
To each his own I guess. I don't think I'm better for using Reddit, but I do think that Reddit is tailored for males to learn how to be as basic as possible.
...
Problem is if you browse /all you get bombarded with Shareblue political bullshit. Their political subreddits have been compromised by shills even /wikileaks. Like you said it's good for other stuff though.
S A G E
I honestly don't see the difference. Both are infested with neckbeards, armchair lawyers, and every other form of trolling and shitposting you find here. The only difference is, there's a lot more women over there. I read a few game related subs, and use the DIY forum to make ecig liquid, but I don't go near the political, /all, or any of the "popular" subs.
It's just a choice between old know it all dickheads, and younger know it all dickheads, really - and some of them have vaginas.
Bye
>It's userbase
You definitely belong here.
...
Most of Sup Forums is left leaning. It's just Sup Forums that is right leaning because of wanting to rebel against their peers
Well that's why I think I'll browse both. But desu Sup Forums is as much an echo chamber as /r/politics or /r/the_donald are
GET THE FUCK OFF MY BOARD, YOU STUPID FUCKING NIGGER
I dunno. The people who make NIGGER and GAS THE KIKES RACE WAR NOW comments are the loudest, and therefore sort of characterize this board, but when you actually get down to it and hold a dialogue, you'll see more varied opinion here than on Reddit.
I'm pretty sure a majority of them believe in the Russian hack shit. It's not a community I can jive with, unfortunately.
Why do Redditors come here and say:
>Why is the upvote broken on this thing?
When they see something they don't like? Are they really that self-loathing that they project their hate of their own site onto us?
I'm originally came here from Reddit. It's personal preference that keeps me here. I enjoy the kind of assholes that fill pol. With no up ores or name recognition, you either make an effective post or don't. Simple as that. I don't like the way the threads move and I simply hate the vote system. Popularity is the enemy of discourse. And once you wade through shills and shit posts, you can actually have some interesting conversation here.
r/the_donald is pretty cool. too many normies. the rest of the site is shit.
