So someone tell me how keeping them alive is helpful? I know it sounds callous, but the continent is clearly not capable of sustaining itself. They had white farmers in some countries which were well on their way to making entire countries if not the entire continent self sufficient as far as food was concerned. Yet they killed them, shooed them out, took their property and ruined that entire agriculture sector. Now they are starving and it is "pls gibs"? How is that solving anything? We send them the aid to keep everyone alive, and next year there will be more. They will need more aid, so we send them more. The year after that there will be even more, so once again we increase the aid. It helps nobody. It isn't solving the problem, it is simply pushing it away until the west can no longer sustain the ludicrous amount of aid required.
