I think you should compare it to the real examples where something similar happened. For example the coptic Christians in Egypt today. The Arab muslims let them live on as dhimmis, paying jizya, but they had no more political power whatsoever. In Lebanon where the influx of PLO Palestinians shifted the demographics from majority Christian to muslims, a civil war started and after it ended the power is shared again with more power to the muslims.
Worst examples are the former Rhodesia and South Africa where white are disposessed and literally butchered and tortured to death. Which is, of course, under reported. But for such a situation to happen, we would have to drop significantly below 30% and someone would need to feed hatred and resentment. Of course that is possible.
