The Soviet victory was the result of a well-planned ambush on advantageous ground and superiority of weapons. Most of the German tanks in this battle were light tanks armed with only 37 mm guns. The German tank guns had neither the range nor the power of the 76 mm main gun of a KV-1. After the battle, the crew of No. 864 counted a total of 156 hits on their tank, none of which had penetrated the armor.

if that was the case then the ruskies would have pushed back in the beginning for the war while the german army still was in Ukraine since its flat (Perfect for tank warfare).

Germans didnt have range or power yet they still won against superior tanks. Same shit happened in the invasion of france

soviets started this war and failed miserably

They won the invasion of ftance because french tanks were mostly 2 crew tanks, a driver and 1 loader/commader/gunner, meanwhile the germans had 4 crew tanks, one guy for each thing. The french had better tanks but thats how they lost, watch the Lindy vid about it

Check out the night vision system on this Panzer V tank. Very interesting!

Weapons do not win a war. They are only the tools used by humans to fight each other with.

As for tanks of WWII, the Russian Tank advantage was short lived as the KV-1 and T-34 took the Nazis by surprised.

If you follow tank production closely, each new model of tanks were designed to counter, beat or match the new tanks used by the other side. Either after WWII, each generation of tanks and airplane are designed against fighting the tank or airplane made before it.

In your case, the German quickly upgraded the PZIII with a 5cm gun to counter the T-34, before scrapping the PZIII tanks in favor of the StuG.

>A fuckin' leaf.

>superiority of weapon
>what's german 88mm anti tank gun for?

Except T-34, USSR was shithole user
And Stalin executed his generals for lost against Germany in early period of the war

88mm was anti air
They faced kv and made them AT

And they BTFOed T-34

>Lindy vid
fuck that autistic sperg
he's right less than 50% of the time, worse than just guessing

And though in many combats, USSR fought well on ground.
you should remind that German Luftwaffe always had air-superiority until closing days of war when German was about to collapse.

Both sides wanted a war. Both were seeking world domination.

It was to be either German ethnic Supremacy or Soviet ideological Supremacy.

Well im not a follower but i watched like 3 of his vids and the french losing was a good explanation vid

hey you take that back, kv1 best tank

That's simply not true, germans lost air superiority in 1943 to soviets. Partly due to allied bombings, partly because soviet industry kicked in and OFC lend lease support.

What USSR propaganda have you been reading?

Russians could keep falling back while being supplied by the US and Germany was being bombed/ their supply lines got stretched futher than they could manage.

Without allies it would have been a German victory.

KV-1 too slow and non-slope armored. Which is why the KV was scrapped for the new IS models

KV-1 was by far the best heavy tank at the time, even though IS was better, it came too late to enjoy that position.

Sigh Ivan must we really do this again, the ride never ends eh.....

finland would know

>KV
>Non slope
wut

Germany recovered from ww1 so fast because soviets provided a LOT of free resources.
You see, Stalin wanted to destroy Europe through the hands of Hitler and than liberate it forever.

t.Henry Ford

If we take things but timeframe how do you think the KV-1 would compare against the Char B1?

Pure design only, nothing about crew or terrain.

>well-planned ambush on advantageous ground and superiority of weapons

Dumb Ivan. Then how do you explain Finland failure.
