Wow, that's how to make America great again? You are fucked by your own government and you have no single privacy left. I'm glad I will never visit the US

You realize this will destroy Google's monopoly on data?

If you care about internet privacy encrypt. If you can't be bothers to do that then stfu.

chance of no veto 0%

Idiot or shill

How?
He raised an interesting angle i did not think about.
Explain.

This is true. Right now google or bing owns all the data, and sells the info. This vote would demonopolize the industry and take google down a peg. The have too much power right now

the paid shiils attack anyone who supports trump, we've been under a coordinated attack for weeks now

The ISPs sold the browser history and other data since the internet was invented. Just some years ago Obama stopped them for privacy purpose. Before that Google wasn't suffering from others also selling data.

Can someone help me understand this bill. Everyone on Normiebook is saying that you will be able to purchase any persons internet history....like Normie McNormface can walk up and buy it and get pages of internet activity for anyone in the US. Is this true or are they overreacting? How far back can someone buy another persons history? Seems like it wouls cause massive drama interpersonally, but again idk if this is just lib hysterics or not

let see google has the most used search engine, and the most sold phone os......

meanwhile microsoft has shitty bing that get all porn hits, and the most used desktop/home pc OS

do you really think this will stop the monopoly google has the world, mean while comcunt, and time weiner have half the USA each.

UK already has this
In UK many corporations and government agencies can buy your browser history

Every country will have that sooner or later, what are you laughing about?

I was reading the resolution and this vote was about repealing "Protecting the Privacy of Customers of Broadband and Other Telecommunications Services". This policy wasnt even applied partly until january this year and some of it not until this very month. Whats the big deal?

where is the conspiracytards spin to this?

I got one:
Trump planned this so he can deny it :^)

It is true. The plan is to completely end Internet privacy and censor all opposing views online. Snowden, WikiLeaks and their own Silicon Valley publications have been proving this agenda systematically. They've been pushing this for years, now they're just accelerating their takeover.

I don't see how we can stop it without achieving enormous nationalist-libertarian political power and mass awakening.

In the meantime, know that EVERYTHING you do on any device with an Internet connection (including browsing and posting on Sup Forums) is being carefully monitored and saved for future use by countless intelligence agencies and private companies.

Protect yourself.

Yes of course they attack anyone who support Trump, but how does it make sense?
Google is anti-Trump as fuck, and it's true they have complete strangehold on data (AND advertisement, at the same time)
Shit is litterally worse than Bell telephones, and the US didnt hesitated ti rape their ass back then.

Why would politicians vote for this though? We hear about so many of them having affairs or cruising the net for sex or other things...why would they vote for a bill that would put all that secret activity out to the public?

They are publicly funded by interest groups and lobbies related to Wall Street / Bilderberg. Just as Silicon Valley companies are. They are promised immunity and riches in return. They are not politicians, just political puppets.

The GOP is compromised. The Trump administration is under attack and most of them are also compromised. Almost only Bannon, Rand Paul and isolated patriot elements in the CIA resist. But I don't know if they have the power to influence the President into not signing this and going after them.

Pray to kek they succeed.

>it's a retards think internet is private episode

lmao

We have a saying here, crow will not peck other crow's eye.

True and clever step from the government. They can't ban any website on the internet that could "endanger" modern society. But they can make you not visiting them anymore out of fear that your boss could find out that you visit them. Or your wife, or your future kids (keep in mind, that the internet won't forget anything).
Encription, VPN, etc. all can't do shit against it.

>instead of changing my search engine force me to have the ISP knowing everything about me

I know you are used to have no privacy, but atleast try to imagine how it's like

if only the gov learned how to find the really good porn sites on their own

> wow how backwards
> in germany, you can get arrested for mean speech on the internet
> so progressive just wow

have you bothered to switch to linux frog? Or are you using winblows with google chrome to fight for privacy?

maybe if everyone knows how much of a degenerate I am I'll stop being one.

also don't forget the countless dinner obongo had with google execs during his presidency.

Youre all going to hang for this. We warned you this would happen and you didnt listen. The line its crossed. DoTR is coming and it will be for the idiots who doomed us again with their inbred pathetic dumb southern ideas.

Most of your traffic goes through transatlantic cables.

Nowhere on earth has any privacy from the 5 eyes, unless you completely unplug and hide in a cave or some shit.

Learning your place yet, Hans?

>he uses Sup Forums and doesn't know about the 7 proxies doctrine

EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO SIGNED THIS SHOULD BE AND WILL BE TARRED FEATHERD FOR THIS TREASON AGINST THE CONSTITUENCY AND REPUBLIC.

Yes but in the US not only the government knows anything about you but soon also your boss, etc

>WILL BE

>Implying they'd sell personally identifying information to your boss.

How can Trump complain about sinking poll numbers when he's doing shit like this?

Still hasn't repealed Obama's executive amnesty, still hasn't done anything about H1B visas or DACA.

Set to increase the defense budget by a huge amount for no good reason. Was pushing the stupid RyanCare bill.

And now this.

Just another establishment Republican hiding behind an anti-establishment facade but listening to the same interests.

spoken like a true cuck

You can't buy someones history by name.

There are already rules for anonymizing data.

I'M KOREAN
SON OF A BITCH AMERICAN
AMERICAN IS PIG
DO YOU WANT A HAMBURGER?
DO YOU WANT A PIZZA?
AMERICAN IS PIG DISGUSTING
GEORGE WALKER BUSH IS A MURDERER
FUCKING U.S.A

corporations dont need to buy anything.
As a worker you are already in the network of the
corporations and they can easily intercept all your networking (email, http, chat, etc.) legally, because thats what you signed up for when signing your contract.

t. sysadmin

>victim of propaganda
>calls others cuck

Even fucking Daily Caller, DAILY CALLER, is calling it what it is, an outlet that leans very conservative and has been kinder to Trump than other sites.

dailycaller.com/2017/03/28/trump-is-set-to-sign-bill-that-could-allow-us-to-see-congressmens-porn-habits/?utm_campaign=atdailycaller&utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social

It's not propaganda, it's what it is.

Please tell me more. Are you talking about the network activities at your workplace or also the private one at home?

>we've been under a coordinated attack for weeks now

Paranoia: noun: a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, or exaggerated self-importance, typically worked into an organized system.

You didn't consider that Trump keeps fucking his election promises?

It's unfortunate to see them handling their popularity to promote their agenda. I'm looking for replacements to distance myself. They have a lot of awesome products but if they're going to use their inflence to promote leftist agenda, I made a mistake learning to code on their products.. for their products to make their products $. It puts me in a bind because it's easier to use their shit and continue to ignore their propoganda, not gonna make $ developing for Microsoft products who use Cortana.

The NSA revelations are coming back to bite the left in ass, Google included. The NSA and CIA spying is what needs to be more alarming. If it can happen to Flynn it can happen to anyone using mobile devices. Fuck the left for trying to guilt him into protecting their interests.

Maybe it's a good time to invest in telecommunications companies.

>Weeks?
it's been a bit longer than a few weeks no?

>Sup Forums defending liberals
Sad! this vote was to dismantle legislation passed by obongo that previously banned companies from doing this (even though they didn't actually stop)

what happened to Sup Forums being lolbertarian?

you can be thrown in jail for criticizing your governments handling of the refugee crisis

fuck off nigger we have free speech. if you even tried to post nigger online there would be police coming to throw you in jail. you think you have privacy ?!?!?

AAhhhaHaHahaHahahaHaHaAhhaAhAhAhaHAha

first, isps will collect data anonymously and "sell" it to advertisers. like how other companies have been doing.
second, this will break google's, facebook's and microsoft's monopoly on datamining and seeing your data to advertisers. Like it or not for a normal user, whether they use those website or not, they are being monitored by those three companies. See super cookie if you want to learn more. they explain it here www.businessinsider.com/republicans-kill-fcc-broadband-privacy-rules-2017-3

also see how google was shilling obongo to stop breaking this monopoly

but now its broken and they are shilling even more creating this boogyman.
yes, you are a victim of propaganda

if you care about your privacy, use a private vpn on a linux distro and never use popular websites where they embed comment sections and sharing options to popular social medias. Oh, and don't use Sup Forums.

Network activities at work, also in all public places (schools, trains) your network is being monitored.
The ISPs already monitor all your stuff but they dont do shit because the volume is just too much.
Also SSL encryption will not help you, because all it does is encrypting the plain data that is send over the network but the ISP still knows who you are talking to, because obviously the packets cannot be routed otherwise.

>this will break google's, facebook's and microsoft's monopoly on datamining and seeing your data to advertisers

Instead it will hand it over to ISPs, so I can't even avoid it, regardless of which site I'm on. ISPs are more dangerous than individual corporations and their website.

And people are forced to use a VPN to avoid it.

Go fuck yourself shill.

you know those three companies are already doing this to you right? idk why are you so worked up by your isp doing it as well? what do you think will happen? go ahead im all ears.

>the government should be allowed to rape your anus, wear lube fag

>isps and advisers are governments

tell me what are you doing to protect yourself from nsa and cia spying?
that's right, literally nothing. lmao @ (you)

>voluntary shares his whole fucking life on kikebook and shitter
>bothers about ISPs selling his (((browser history)))
your Browser History is stored on your client, all they can do is sell your routing and - if you are stupid enough to use it - unencrypted DNS lookups
Amazon has targeted advertising based on your IP address for years
Google/Microsoft/Yahoo know what you've been searching for for decades
CDNs like Cloudflare serving +80% of the the top 1% websites know everything you do on a page even on end-to-end encrypted connections
don't even get me started on government agencies

How do you think you've been getting tailored ads until now? So cute and innocent.. this has been the case for a couple of years already.

If Trump goes through with it he's officially done.

all my tailored ads are sexy as fuck

ive went as far as turning off ad block on lots of sites, i want to see the sex

>urrr urr GOOGLE owns te data
You all fucking retards, google owns his data not the data, they can onli track you if the owner of that particular page puts a snipet on it and you can block it with an ad blocker.
Those who mantain that position are brain washed people by pro ISP propaganda and have to clue on what they are talking

The ISP owns the trafick and will be able to monitor you in much more detail that google or facebook would never be able to do.

YOu know that meme about vpn's? well its time to buy one

I hope this remains true. I expect ads geared towards my location and shit, but open internet history available for purchase terrifies me. It would cause problems in just about everyones personal life. I admit I dont know much about rules or laws re: privacy and data, but rly hope they stay in effect

Can anyone recommend a good VPN service?

This must be fake.

Companies are already doing this Hans, literally this bill BTFO lefty companies like Facebook/Google/ect...

It's shit that was already happening and now (((their))) playing field just got leveled.

Tor browser

Every thread until the shills stop

Before the FCC's 2015 Open Internet Order, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) was the primary regulator of companies' privacy and data security practices. The FTC had the authority to bring enforcement actions against companies who engaged in "unfair and deceptive practices." The 2015 reclassification of broadband providers removed internet service providers (ISPs) from the FTC's jurisdiction. On April 20, 2016, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proposed a rule applying privacy requirements of the Communications Act to Internet Service Providers (ISPs). However, the proposed rule would not apply to edge providers and web sites, like Facebook and Twitter, since they still fall under the FTC's authority.
As you know, Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona introduced S.J. Res. 34 on March 7, 2017. This resolution would repeal the FCC's privacy rules. I do not believe a two-track system in which the FCC regulates ISPs while the FTC monitors the rest of the internet ecosystem is good for consumers. For this reason I cosponsored S.J. Res 34.

Isn't Tor compromised?

Funny part is somebody posting as (((Anonymous))) made a few threads on here saying exactly this a couple of years ago.

TrollTrace was real.

This but probably also offline use since they would just take that data once you go online

Hope you black list all google tracking content servers and analytics. And cookies

When does the bill take effect?

It hasn't been signed

>The ISPs sold the browser history and other data since the internet was invented. Just some years ago Obama stopped them for privacy purpose

no he didn't he stopped them to give Google a virtual monopoly
This is actually a kind of good thing as it shatters Google's monopoly and fucks them good
and Google is a liberal fucktard company

When do we know when it is signed?
