i have been doing this almost daily for a decade

How does deleting your history do anything when it's traceab, e from the ISPs side?
Fuck off retarded shill

Deleting will not do anything. They still keep track of it, the only thing you are deleting is the history on your machine.

>(((American Intellectuals)))

Wouldn't using a VPN work?

Only a woman could come up with something so stupid.

I don't think that's how it works.

Are you sure about that? My ISP comes to my house every afternoon sround 4-5 to log all my computer histroy.

are you really this ignorant and think that the isp's logs of your shit is stored not on their hardware but on each of their customer's firefox browsers? how fucking dumb are you

>deleting locally stored browsing history will also delete the service provider's logs
wouldn't expect a leftist woman to know anything about technology anyway.

what the heck why are people this stupid

Please don't mansplain. Back to the moose pens.

Free market can fix this so easily if there wasn't a bunch of fucking communications regional monopolies

Literally no one in this thread has actually countered the point made in the picture

Why do you approve of Republicans taking money to pass law making your internet history not private?

JESUS CHRIST!

holy fuck those two mongoloids are disgusting

>Flash your tits to support Internet privacy and smash the Patriarchy
Please please please make this a reality.

What would people want with the average joes Internet history anyway? Whats to gain from some sick BDSM porn shit?

As long as the ISP isn't attaching your identity to what it sells I see no issue with this.

yes, as long as your VPN isn't selling your data, that is.

Are companies that i want to work at going to know my political affiliations now?

Followup Question: if the answer is yes should i buy a VPN or something?

Obama has been doing this for eight years already. It's another "look at this massive injustice that Trump is doing and Obama already did" thread.

Yes. Assuming the vpn is 100% trustable.

Jesus wept, how do these people have enough brains to actually keep breathing. HTTPSeverywhere + a nolog VPN hosted in somewhere like the virgin islands is what you need. We need to get joot to take vpn/tor posting off the naughty list.

...

My ISPs will know nothing since I'm using incognito mode! Being the hacker known as Sup Forums is finally paying off!

On a serious note, using a VPN will do nothing, because people willingly post their data. We can find a flag based on a livestream of the sky and a few instagram posts. Just imagine what we can learn based on what people willingly post.

What does this mean if if i browse Sup Forums on my phone?

"hey we're a proxy company to the cia lol can we buy all your user history info along with the user hardware info and anything else that might be useful for us"

>kid.jpg

Kaguya isnt a kid tho.

I don't think they need browsing history to know the list of websites you access.

It is so a sick BDSM porn seller can sell you new BDSM porn.

That is the joke

I just delete system32 everyday.

are you autistic?

Old People are stupid.

The ISP's collect all browsing data and give it to government Agency's.

Your ISP has already sold your info infact they are doing it right now because the law forbiding it hasn't even come into effect yet. Why would your employer know your browsing history now?

Someone give me the safest and best overall VPN

The real solution is to install HTTPS everywhere and use a VPN.

Same here :)

No, the packages still travel to the ISP only now an extra layer of encryption is added. Vpns hide the data on the stream, but you can't hide the ip of what you are connecting to, otherwise how can they direct your traffic.

>nolog VPN
Prove that such a thing exists.

I hate new /pol

yes

>Why do you approve of Republicans taking money to pass law making your internet history not private?

You're a fucking idiot, read the FCC act in October 2016 and read the legislation that congress is trying to pass right now.

The ISPs have been looking at your internet history since the dawn of the internet, you were just too stupid to realize it until Gizmodo told you this is something you need to be angry at.

No need. They can never track me, for I use private browsing.

They already know about all that nasty porn you guys like to watch.

I just dont want to be rejected from any possible jobs because i browse Sup Forums and shitpost racist memes

Congress is blocking trump too, traitors need to hang

So what does this mean exactly? Google already keeps a catalog of everything I browse to recommend me ads. I use an ad blocker and anti-anti-adblock plugin. I haven't seen an ad on a website in forever. Now that my ISP can do the same things google has been doing for a decade, what changes?

Just buy a VPS somewhere in the balkans and set it to nolog and send them cash via mail. If you are too autistic to do that get a vpn outside of 14 eyes.

Yeah, I wanted to agree with you guys, I just don't know jack shit about the issue and couldn't find what was wrong with what they were saying.

Because it doesn't effect me, because it was never private.

can't they encrypt the ip?

Luurk more.

thats clearly cause ur just a shill.

BTW, DAE hate drumpf?

So I should not be mad that it got worse, because people underestimated how bad it was already?

damn i just deleted my post history and i couldn't figure out how to log back into my Sup Forums account.

idk if anyone will even see this post.

lmao, gets me every time.

>So what does this mean exactly?

It means absolutely nothing.

The FCC passed an act to protect privacy last year, and it hasn't even gone into effect yet. Congress is removing the FCC act. So literally, nothing has changed.

not all of us are registered pedos, user.

He's good with the cyber.

Detailed profiles on everyone. Where you shop, what devices you own, which online services you use like Sup Forums now with timestamps to see who posted what. Just to name a few things. They have been monitoring for a while, but this allows the government to police online hate crimes.

She's black. People never correct them so they think they are extremely smart.

Correct. They are completely unrelated.

It won't be in charge of "regulating" the internet. It will be in charge of regulating the the sale of internet connections through ISPs because it is considered a commodity of sale and the FTC is quite literally in charge of regulating just that.

roslynlayton.com/fcc-vs-ftc-which-will-do-a-better-job-to-protect-consumers-in-light-of-net-neutrality/

Nothing has changed, your privacy is in exactly the same state it was in 2015.

The regulations that were implemented last year hadn't taken effect yet, though if you want to increase your browser security and anonymity on the web I highly recommend installing a browser extension called HTTPS Everywhere (rationale: youtu.be/E_wX40fQwEA) in addition to using a VPN.

If you're very serious about your security, I'd give this article (courtesy of Sup Forums) a read wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Security

I use cyberghost. Ideally you want one that doesn't log traffic, keeps strict separation between its payment and operational systems, has a canary, and is hosted somewhere with strong privacy laws

wtf? why is this reply blank?

>Delete your browser history to prevent ISPs from selling it

These people really are clueless.

How would the router know where to send anything then

>So I should not be mad that it got worse

Nothing got worse though.

You can be angry if you want to, but it's really your own fault if you didn't know this was the way it was the entire time. Internet is a service, not a right.

I mean, you cannot argue that you didn't know the law before you committed the crime.

SURPRISE ISPenis inspection day

ssd.eff.org/

Also, the whole point of the legislation is to undo the powergrab made by Obama when he let the FCC takeover ISP regulation from the FTC. The whole "Republicans are evil and want to make money selling your search history to your boss so he can fire you for browsing BLACKED.com" is a meme started by Reddit fearmongers

That's why all of the Democrats oppose this while the Republicans approve of it. People forget there were a bunch of democrats voting for PIPA/SOPA

This whole thing is just fearmongering so you vote Dem next time you hit the ballot. If you people really gave a shit about online privacy you would already know this.

Use facebook? Twitter? Plebbit? Imgur? How about Tinder? OkCupid? Maybe you use Amazon? Ebay? Etsy? How about Steam? Twitch? YouTube? Vidme? Maybe you have an Android? iPhone? Oh, do you use Google Chrome? Opera? Maybe you use IE like a faggot?

Well then guess fucking what? Your data has been sold for fucking years. Stop bitching about how ISP's "are gunna sell muh data". Because no one gave a flying fucking when they voluntarily signed up for ANY of the above, and had those power house companies datamine your faggot ass for years.

99% of the people freaking out about this bill are complete an utter retards who have no idea how any of these companies operate.

>2017
>Not using your own internet

It isn't worse, it's exactly the same as it's always been.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHAT A FUCKING RETARD

Your Isp can start keeping a log of your internet history if they want, deleting your browser history wont do shit.

Jesus Christ

Because the good ones get their systems audited by security firms etc for compliance with their policies, and also make their source available for inspection to similar

I know i just want to know how i can be safe to shitpost racists maymays in peace

Get a self-destructing cookies/history browser extension to prevent the majority of targeted ads.
thetinhat.com/tutorials/addons/self-destructing.html

We always fucking knew faggot, but your ISP can't do shit about your unkosher opinions but kvetch. Now, they can sell that data to anyone.

They won't buy your history from your isp. They'll just google your name and kikebook accounts.

>not having your browser delete fucking everything after closing it
Why is there even an option to preserve everything?

Only complete fucking morons choose to actually preserve browsing history.

Thanks dudes

>Literally no one in this thread has actually countered the point made in the picture

Your ISP knows your browsing history no matter what you do to your browser's history.

>Now, they can sell that data to anyone.

Where in the legislation does it say ANY of this?

The legislation doesn't add anything new, it just removes the privacy act created a few months ago that never even went into effect.

No, but the vpn acts as a proxy - the site sees and logs the IP of the vpn server, not you. Your vpn service then rerouted the site response to your IP.

i browse in incognito
republicucks btfo

lol nope
arstechnica.com/security/2017/02/now-sites-can-fingerprint-you-online-even-when-you-use-multiple-browsers/

>people honestly believe they haven't been doing this for years via facebook, google, etc.
This is absolutely nothing new. It's shit the media is making a big deal out of to discredit Trump.

>LEAF

to anyone concerned about ramifications for your browsing habits in regards to your work, don't be.

companies literally don't want to fire you unless they're firing everyone else too. If they're in your country, they're there for a reason and firing workers that are presumably already trained is a huge fucking hassle. Most companies have HR do things like browse facebooks to ensure you're not doing dumb retard shit like pic related, or shittalking the company publicly. After that, they just stop looking. Trust me on this. If you're not going on an extremely public forum and shouting overtly stupid things that will obviously be construed as racist, you're fine. no one cares if you post on Sup Forums because they can't trace it back to you with a simple google search.

The information is not on an individual level as far as I read

Kys shills.

>outlining your freakish artificial maw in dark eyeliner

Just Bog things.

True im probably being paranoid

>Reading comprehension
Please tell me what you think "to prevent the MAJORITY of targeted ads" means you fucking mong.
