Ask a Venezuelan anything, just like I promised I'd make a thread at this hour today as a sequel to yesterday's thread that was successful.
Today supreme Court took away national assembly power and made themselves capable of making laws in the country. Of course 90% of N.A. members were against the government and supreme court isn't. So yeah, shit been going on down here and it's crazy.
Feel free to ask anything but try to keep it serious and no trolling, there a lot of people here that really want to know what's going on here
Are things as bad as I've heard? With the currency and extreme crime problems, I don't think I'd ever go there. Which is a damn shame because it looks awesome
Caleb Wood
How does your country even function anymore? Like with all your grocery stores empty, how can anyone be walking around d without getting mugged?
Jackson Martin
How long we'll it take before you guys starting eating each other?
Lincoln Williams
Today
Daniel Bennett
Probably not as extreme as media says, but really bad
Xavier Foster
Not all are empty, that's a misunderstanding. There are shortages, yes, but there's food everywhere the things is that they are too expensive for anyone who's not upper class, medium class can make it with hard work but low class it's fucked up
Gabriel Young
I've been following what's going on, OP.
Why, in God's name, do you people not take Maduro out by force?
Everyone knows he's about to enact a dictatorship, if his actions today weren't the equivalent.
I mean, Jesus Christ, the government of Peru broke off contact today because of it.
Like...what the fuck are you guys actually doing?
Thomas Bell
Unarmed civilians vs an army controlled almost entirely by the government. Not wise
Ian Sullivan
bump thanks op.
Luke Gutierrez
Had discussed it earlier tonight on here. It honestly sounds worse than Syria. I will pray for Venezuela.
Austin Morris
>worse than syria.
give me a break. OP do you have work?
Carson Nelson
Ecuadorian here:
Is your opposition on the side of the Yanquis?
Do you think this coup is similar to that of Brazil?
I am not part of the left but I am very suspicious of these political coups, we all know that the eternal gringo is usually involved and funding the opposition.
Parker Reed
What are the odds of finding a good girl when I am down there in two months for vacation? Should I be worried that all they want is to escape from the mess?
Adrian Sanders
Ayy... Que onda wey. Que lastema me da pesando la situacion de tu y tu paies. Al la verga, tries hambre? Como esta el situacion de tu comida? Si tu puedias, a qual paies de gustaria a escapar? t.spic in SoCal
Eli Rogers
Yes i do.
Anthony Allen
Me voy a Bogotá en unos meses, en mi casa estamos bien, por suerte.
Noah Thomas
Peruvian government is neoliberal and pro-American, of course they would break ties.
Macri is probably coming next.
Andrew Walker
Dont come
Juan Rivera
Yesterday. I worked as a waiter at a steakhouse for a bit for the half priced porterhouses and attractive women, but now I'm in investment banking and can eat steak whenever I want.
Liam Butler
There are a lot of Venecos moving to Ecuador, out of all places.
Aiden Reed
Nope its socialist vs "good" socialist.
I hate them both
Brayden Taylor
Why don't you retards just print more money
Landon Smith
Okay, time to cancel my reservations. Guess I will go to Chile. Hope everything turns out better for you guys.
Alexander Nelson
There are 30 million people in Venezuela with, at most, 500,000 trained to fight for the military tomorrow. And that's assuming that every member of the military would side with Maduro's government.
I don't even think you have 100 fighting planes. Maybe 100 helicopters. You have a couple hundred tanks but those are relatively easy for an insurgency.
This isn't like, some enormous task we're talking about here.
You're also assuming, in our modern era, that news wouldn't get out that Civil War had begun.
I just don't get it. That current year, someone in a country like Venezuela could go full dictator. I just don't get it.
Easton Edwards
More going to Argentina and Chile
Nolan Bell
are you the bastard son of Chavez?
Colton Hernandez
In Ecuador, the "good" socialist is usually associated with indigenous people and academics.
>but now I'm in investment banking and can eat steak whenever I want. That's nice, no one cares. I was asking the Venezuelan.
Daniel Moore
Do you expect other countries to intervene and take advantage of Venezuela's crisis?
Luis Phillips
Are you gay?
Adam Martin
My veneco friend moved to Spain, apparently a lot of you have passports to other countries. My other veneco friend is going to move to Portugal soon too.
Well, Ecuador just got over its oil crisis but we also have upcoming elections that are neoliberal banker vs socialist of the oficialismo.
We're fucked no matter who wins, just like you guys.
Im not 100% sure they will turn this into an official dictatorship but it's pretty close atm
Carson Baker
I like guns so yeah
Jaxson Green
I do have a Spanish passport too, my grandmother is spanish. I just don't like Spain and i decided to go to Bogota
Asher Lewis
I'm a rich Mexican living in the U.S. as a legal permanent resident.
I was thinking of buying property in Venezuela considering it's so cheap right now. I heard purchases using dollars can only be done in cash.
Would it even be worth buying anything right now? If the government seizes properties i'm fucked, right? Or if the current governemt collapses and there is a total country reset, me being a foreigner would probably hurt my chances of keeping what I bought?
Are people even selling land? Would they even accept money? Or would they rather recieve some other form of compensation?
Also, how easy do you think it would be to rescue a qt from there and bring her to either usa or mexico?
Isaac Taylor
lol. Yes I know, user. I know exactly how close it is.
Your 3 government branches were just taken away and became 1 under the supreme court and your supreme court is under the control of Maduro, a man who publicly declared he wanted Chavez to declare a dictatorship because he was the number two man in that administration.
lol.
"it's pretty close atm"
I mean, Jesus Christ, dude...
Ian Rivera
do you advocate for the right wing and capitalism?
Oliver Perez
Buy them in a above upper-class place, get body guards and a gun (that'll have to be on the black market).
I'd recommend Los Roques island. It's like it's not part of the country, pretty safe and you won't need the body guards.
Robert Hernandez
It's a good idea not post shit. They will find you. Liquidate now and gtfo.
Parker Moore
Yes I stand for classical liberalism. Give me guns, stay out of my money and let everyone be able to saw whatever the fuck they want
Julian Myers
>Legal resident My bad.
Luke Nelson
As long as there still exists opposing parties I can't call it a dictatorship, the day he destroys all parties I will
Robert Jones
what are you talking about?
Gabriel Campbell
ARE YOU FUCKIN GAY MEXICAN?!?!?!?!
Nicholas Campbell
How about but some properties in Detroit if you want to support America?
Luke Ortiz
Say*** fuck
Tyler Thompson
That makes zero sense, user. Zero. Take two seconds and think about that statement.
Lincoln Hughes
Never mind. How about a less risky investment in Detroit for instance? Is it worth having money tied up in Venezuela?
Jaxon Flores
you guys better start smuggling in weapons or making your own. even if you have to resort to black powder. Don't go down without a fight.
Lucas Reed
Do you smoke weed? Is it available in Venezuela rn?
Josiah Clark
What a larping faggot you are. I bet you masturbate yourself to sleep every night mr "investment banker"
Ian Morales
Sorry buddy but I'd rather take my chances with commie spics than niggers.
Plus the detroit properties aren't actually cheap if you consider taxes and other legal fees and have no potential resale or investment value.
Did I mention that detroit is full of niggers?
David Martinez
Do Venezuelans have the same regard for sheep that the Argentinians do. How do you present for the Ram?
Matthew Kelly
Nope. Not legal but you can easily find it
Christian Morgan
What
Lincoln Scott
Detroit is a dead end money sink. People would invest if you got rid of the niggers and kicked out all of the democrats in control.
But even then, detroit was only viable as a city because of the factories, many of which will never come back due to china and latin america.
Just fucking nuke the place, wait 50 years, and turn it into a reserve.
I currently do business in america, i'm just expanding my horizons.
If something sounds like it's too good to be true, it is. Stay away from niggertown
Joshua Powell
Ask questions worth answering
Liam Rivera
If shit goes south are you ready to go innawoods?
Cooper Harris
matusalem gran reserva and barbancourt reserve speciale are both significantly better than that swill
Liam Butler
Diplomatico > all
Joshua King
Yep
Jackson Sanders
>if More like when
Do any Venezuelans talk about living in America? What are their opinions about USA and Mexico?
Jason Cooper
Good to hear. Stay safe brother.
Gabriel Watson
Many have moved there.
No one likes Mexico, not even Latinos
Nicholas Edwards
so how do lower class people survive? do they buy food from colombia?
Dominic Turner
How do we stop it before it starts?
Daniel Rivera
Cuando te vas a la calle a hacer bailoterapia, mariquito? O estás cagao?
Lucas Thomas
It's too late here. Dont worry about the us that will never happen in the US
Evan Gutierrez
lel I guess you're right. Not even Mexicans like Mexico. They just get offended if you talk shit about the country for some reason.
Chase Robinson
Estoy ocupado haciendo dinero
Bentley Clark
Sounds like America. What do our courts do?
-Impose desegregation - against the will of the people of the states -Impose fag marriage - against the will of the people of the states -Get rid of anti-miscegenation laws - against the will of the people of the states -Legalize abortion - against the will of the people of the states -Get rid of pray in school - against the will of the people of the states
Your Supreme Court is upfront about its intentions. Ours isn't.
Wyatt Gonzalez
Obviously the Sup Forumslack Venezuelans hate Socialism after this experiment, but what does the general population think? Are they still hopeful of it prevailing, or do most pray it'll collapse the government and capitalism will take hold?
Asher Cox
do you own any guns?
Jayden Martin
Their food is amazing that's not up to discuss but their culture and people... Man their people, they are like Indians but shorter and they sweat more than they smell, opposite of Indians
David Flores
That's why our country just went to shit
Brandon Morgan
No
Gavin Anderson
Will you guys ever go full Pinochet and physically remove leftists, so to speak?
Dominic Ortiz
RIP in pieces bro
Xavier Baker
How safe is it on any given day?
Asher Flores
Depends on where you at
Gavin Cruz
I hope we do
Nicholas Murphy
The only people wanting "socialism" were the poor scum wanting free money and some twisted revenge against the rich for being rich.
There was never socialism, just pure empty propaganda, as it's tradition.
Now obviously no one wants anything to do with the Chavismo and their shit, but it's to late now to get off El Che's wild ride.
Jeremiah Scott
What's the scariest situation you've ever been in?
Ever seen any real violence up close?
I hear Caracas is the murder capital of the world, idk if you live there
Jace Edwards
Where you are.
I realize English isn't your first language; but where you at is ghetto as hell.
Christopher Wilson
Eh, if you go to Guadalajara or the northern states you'll find better looking people.
The culture is shit everywhere though, I'll give you that.
Also cdmx should be nuked.
Andrew Parker
Yes it went to shit because I'm worried about making money so I can continue to have the life I have that keeps me away from many issues that 80% of the population is going through. That's why Venezuela it's fucked, not because of the government
Fuck off you commie
Camden Sullivan
What do you think the opposition parties and the people can do to resist Maduro at this point?
What percentage of the population would you say still supports Maduro?
Do you think Maduro's own party still has faith in him or could the socialists turn on him?
Adam Taylor
No I'm 200km away. Once I got stopped by some guys, and one of them pointed a 9mm right into my face and then said "no, it's not him" and left
Jason Hernandez
>9
What's your plan?
Charles Wood
How was your coup?
Nathaniel Bennett
Is it? I didn't know that, I see it everywhere so I thought it's just another way to say it.
Xavier Walker
Obviously these things are hard to foresee, but what do you think is the end result of all this?
Brayden Turner
It went to shit because all people cared about was to make money off a corrupted and broken system as fast as possible.
No one cared. No one tried to stop and think how to fix the system because broken as it is, it was making money just fine for everyone that could get in it.
The government is the executioner of the tragedy. In the background there is everyone who simply ended up letting them do it.
Nicholas Thompson
>That's why Venezuela it's fucked, not because of the government
You really don't think your government's policies have created this crisis?
I realize you've been hit hard by the decline in oil prices; but there are a lot of oil dependent nations out there in the same boat and they haven't all gone to shit.
