It's more likely the Dems are trying to blackmail him to testify a certain way, over something unrelated they found in his pre-Trump doings. Hillary will never get immunity, if she's brought up on charges. The point of immunity is for lower ranked people to be safe from prosecution, if the investigation reveals they were involved.
