Like most major American wars, the good guys lost

Iron Brigade wasa shit

the confederacy did nothing wrong

States rights is for fags. Authoritarian democracy is best democracy.

>Lincoln was the good guy the whole time
>wanted to ship the niggers to Liberia after freeing them
>drew up the plans to do so
>was killed by confederate retard john Wilkes booth
>Lincoln's VP scraps the Liberia project
>we are now overflowing with subhumans
>Sup Forums will defend this because MUH confederacy

North vs south

It was mainly about the power of self governance because the federal government wasnt supposed to have as much power as it does.

One of the main reasons for slavery becoming one of the main issues of the war was because England had outlawed slavery.
England supporting a Nation (the south) that was pro slavery was unacceptable to the people.
So by making slavery illegal as part of the reason for war England was kept out of the conflict.

So that's one thing

South used the federal government to assrape the North. The North then gained the Presidency and the South didn't like the shoe on the other foot and seceded. See today with Trump being a northerner if he decided to use power the way that Obama did. Then (((they))) didn't like that and we went to war?
I don't fucking know really. Fugitive Slave Treaty marhsalls were greaseballs with marshall powers leading gangs roving the North (pissed off upper Midwest). But we all know a large part of the Northeast profited immensely from the slave trade. Doesn't seem slavery related. So shekels?

The southern states wanted slaves because economy from cotton and tobacco, northern states didn't want it.

South tries to split, Lincoln says no, declares war. South starts to win war, some southern general (not Robert E Lee) makes dumb mistakes, causes the north to gain ground and eventually win.

There were a lot of issues with conscription from the citizens in the southern states, lacking resources on both sides, and the fact that diseases were fucking everywhere with minimal cures. Interesting war to study if you want to get in depth with it.

Jews played a role in both sides, the Confederate Secretary of State was named (((Judah Benjamin)))

actually they did. they held onto slavery like a crutch. they should have succeeded and freed their slaves. instead they went full retarded and made the decentralization of america become associated with slavery because they where all morally repugnant shit heads who wanted to own other people.

South was bad slave owners. The righteous Union destroyed the rebels.

No, Abraham Lincoln was trying to remove slavery from America permanently. The end game is he would move blacks to haiti to from their own country. He was shot before he could implement this.

South v North
North wins

"if I could end the war without freeing a slave I would"

GTFO YANKEE SCUM

It was a war that was conducted like most wars about money ...

The south didn't want to pay taxes...
The north went to war.

Had fuck-all to do about freeing the slaves.
The north didn't care until taxes went unpaid.
pbs.org/wnet/ascentofmoney/featured/the-ascent-of-money-episode-2-bonds-of-war/90/

The Confederacy was right about states rights I believe, but were complete bitches about slavery.
Lincoln wasn't a righteous black loving, south crushing machine that a lot of leftists portray him as. He desperately fought to hold the union, and would have sent the africans home if he had lived.

Serves us right, really

The south seceded because of slavery.

Every Declaration of Secession mentioned slavery as the main cause.

The Notth invaded to preserve the Union.

Some states could have seceded because they wanted to hold that the moon was made of cheese, and a Ft Sumter event would have been inevitable.

I heard an argument recently that the Civil War, and the Emancipation Proclamation in particular, was the first instance of the US stripped a country of it's natural resources and used the excuse of bringing freedom and democracy to another region of the world as a guise for the first time, effectively.

I hold that Lincoln was a dictator, but his dictatorial actions helped keep the U.S. a strong international power to present day instead of being picked off like vultures by European powers.

Southern aristocrats ruin America forever by importing generations of african slaves, causing centuries of bullshit

The Civil War was a mistake. Hundreds of thousands of good American men died to
appease the fragile egos of politicians. The only thing we learned is that nothing good comes out of fighting each other, a lesson that is sadly being forgotten by the foolish leftists nowadays.

I don't consider myself an American.

fuck yankees

the jews imported them dumbie

face facts: southerners loved black people so much they brought them from africa, let them breastfeed and raise the white children, let them live in the home, and father illegitimate mulatto children with them. Southerners looooove black people. There's nothing wrong with that, if that's your culture

what is this? a pipe?

An illegal war started by a president who 3/5ths of the country did not want.

The South lost because they loved slavery.

>Lincoln is literally Reinhard (or Caesar if you're historically inclined)
Sieg mein Kaiser Lincoln

Intelligent Southern Military picture is relevant.

Southern military cont.

Northern imperialism, nothing more. South was fighting for self determination. North used slavery for propaganda purposes, similar to saying the Germans were bad because of muh Holocaust.

Was the Civil War the last time war was fought honorably and you could actually face your enemy one on one?

You didn't have artillery killing you from miles away and machine guns fucking mowing down everything.

Part of the Southern Militaries Seal Team 6

I know it sounds like I am gonna /thread my own post, but.....

your poisioning JWBs name. he was the greatest man to ever live. i have even traced his ancestry and he is not jewish

The South lost because of Robert E. Lee's damn fucking pride and his refusal to listen to Longstreet's plans for trench warfare because the media was laughing at them for being "cowards".

No, you face facts, Schlomo.

HOLY SHIT PRAISE KEK

He is correct though, Lincolns plan after was to Ship all the slaves back to Africa.

The US was the only country in the world to wage a civil war in order to end slavery, besides maybe Haiti. Not sure if a slave revolt counts (that really didn't end the system of slavery there).

Everybody else did it peacefully.

So they did what the liberals are trying to do today.

meh. the north and federal government was doing the same thing to the south that whitey was doing to black people. They were going to great lengths to keep the south subordinate and under control so they could greatly profit from it.

Bottom Line: the South lost. Period. The butt hurt is very real still for south turds.

Not really. It was actually the first modern war.

Anyone who doesn't save slavery is retarded. See the conpermose of 1820, the compromise of 1850.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compromise_of_1850
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missouri_Compromise
The big issue was California, was admitted as a free state to the union with promises that other terrorizes would be admitted as a slave states.
This become a problem later:
>In 1854, the Missouri Compromise of 1820 was superseded by the Kansas–Nebraska Act,
>~~~~~ which allowed white male settlers in the new territories to determine through popular sovereignty whether they would allow slavery within each territory.~~~~~
> The result was that pro- and anti-slavery elements flooded into Kansas with the goal of voting slavery up or down, leading to bloody fighting. An effort was initiated to organize Kansas for admission as a slave state, paired with Minnesota, but the admission of Kansas as a slave
> state was blocked because of questions over the legitimacy of its slave state constitution. Anti-slavery settlers in "Bleeding Kansas" in the 1850s were called Free-Soilers,
>because they fought (successfully) to include Kansas in the Union as a free state in 1861.
Before 1850 every state was admitted to the union in pairs with one slave and one free state at the same time to maintain the union, which was thought to fail otherwise.
>en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slave_states_and_free_states
After this it was just a long degradation into succession and war.
/thread
>mah state rights
Yeah, if the 'right' you are talking about is to own slaves
>my federal government
Fuck off, there is a clear 50 year history before the war of slave states and free states not getting along and other people just barely managing to. Are them work together

*say slavery.
New keyboard, Fuck you

That is an interesting bit about him sending slaves back.

South wanted to keep niggers here indefinitely as slaves. Lincoln wanted to free the niggers and send them back to Africa but got killed before he could finish the job.

The importation of slaves was the worst thing that happened to America.

>led to a compromised constitution
>which led to a civil war
>600,000+ Americans would die as a result
>power of the federal government grows dramatically during and continues to increase since
>Civil war amendments set the precedent for women's rights as a minority
>Women win the right to vote

Now we're balls deep in crime and socialism

Also the southern slave owners were degenerate rich sadistic racemixers who people only defend because "le confederasee XDD"
