Suez taught us that there won't be any war fought by an european country without having the authorization from Uncle Sam beforehand, especially not in Europe. Falklands were an exception because it was in buttfuck nowhere strategically speaking and Argentina is an irrelevant country. Spain on the other side is a NATO member, an european country and despite a difficult situation a first world economy.
