In case you weren't aware with her character, she was evaluated as being basically a massive cunt by everyone else in-universe for the brunt of her existence. Not really, she was just unlikable from the start, the idea presumably being to build her over time like x-23 who was initially unlikable until they started to reveal more about her character. They never really gave America an arc though so she stayed cunt-y. Sentry was very good and was a decent play on the comic scene working very well with Jenkins initial series of his. Unfortunately he suffered comic books black plague by being handed to Bendis after that and since he's cancer, he went to shit at mach speed bendis making him essentially irreparable until Remender made an attempt to fix him, doing a stalwart job and now he's just gone into character limbo.
I don't really care if they make new super heros like this. They'll make it, it will tank, and then they'll need to come up with a new idea. It's taking old ideas and turning them into WOW SO PROGRESSIVE that annoys me. Taking a good idea, turning into shit, and wondering "gee this was a thing that was a good idea and it turned to shit must be because everyone is just a RACIST".
