Why does Sup Forums hate FDR? Didn't he get us out of the depression?

>Didn't he get us out of the depression?
Nope. If anything he dragged out the depression for way longer.

In fact, Hitler and Tojo got us out of the depression, funnily enough. By declaring war on us, we were able to ramp up to a war economy, which was the actual booster shot that lifted us out of the Great Depression.

>longer
Christ you are fucking retarded. WW2 helped, but so did FDR and his party.

But wasn't the New Deal the plan to end the depression? Hoover wasn't going to fix it. Not anymore than Buchanan was going to decide on slavery.

>Why does Sup Forums hate FDR? Didn't he get us out of the depression?
He didn't, but he did the best he could in the meantime including trying his best to fight the war effort on the side without forcing the US' hand. He was managing unrestricted submarine warfare against the Germans for well over a year before Pearl Harbor.

FOR was an extremely flawed president, but he didn't get elected 4 times for no reason. I don't think he belongs in the top 3 like so many insist and I wouldn't even put him in the top 10, but he's still one of the better presidents and far better than Sup Forums will tell you he is.

But he was one of our greatest National Socialist presidents.

Pile of bullshit. The New Deal turned a bad recession into the Depression. Like all "stimulus" that exacerbate the problem.
Why?
Because they fund their government spending with bond issues. So private investors buy these nice safe government bonds instead of investing in private enterprise, and the private sector stagnates.
Fuck Keynes.

He doesn't give good head. and he's a socialist commie fucker.

>War got us out of the depression

This is an outdated Keynesian fallacy. War and militarism is not good the for economy, period.

If you think WW2 spending stimulated the economy, then you're a Keynesian too.

ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED?

Nope, I'm not. I'm not a Keynesian like you.

LOL CRUZ CONTROL FOR KOOL XD

i think he had good intention he had some good ideas but problem was that it involved more government control in the aspects of the economy, A more authoritarian control in some aspects such as rounding up american citizens of japan with no real basis. so yea i'd say he was ten times better than bush or obama. But lets just say his successor Eisenhower was even better who actually did create policies to help the economy and oversaw a golden age

He was the last actual President of the USA (until Trump). After him every pres was hand picked by the establishment.

this is the kind of shit stefan molyneux is really good at debunking...if you break all the windows on the street, then replace all the windows, what has happened? Sure you gave some ppl jobs replacing windows, but you also lost a bunch of windows. Net profit 0, probably in the negative even.

This.

FDR is extremely overrated but there's really only so much you can do in a depression without going full culture war like Germany did, and we saw how that worked out for them. Sometimes those insignificant government programs can be the mental help struggling people need to get through the day.

He gets ranked 2 or 3 quite a bit. I'd rank him around 15.

World war 2 got us out of the great depression, we sold to the ally's which made Americas economy stronger. It wasn't FDR

WW2 got us out of the depression
FDR kept people from starving to death

That feel when people are such purist that they can't accept proven economic reality.
>so sad

Wrong. WW2 made Americans less well-off. If you adjust real output by substracting military spending, you find that real output fell. America only truly recovered economically after the war. Do you people honestly think WW2-era America - a full blown command economy with all sorts of price controls and rationing - was a good time for American consumers?

Calvin Coolidge would've fixed it.

there's a summary of FDR for you... his presidency is viewed subjectively

Hover did more to help the economy than FDR did.

FDR is cool

Molyneux is a hack and you're a mongoloid if you take anything coming out of his mouth seriously
Keep that on shit on reddit where it belongs

So you think that paying a person to dig a ditch and then immediately fill it again helps the economy?

britain spending 400 years of world conquest shekels on american production in less than 10 years and is what created the 50s and 60s and extends to the modern day empire state. they literally spent every quid they had and gave it directly to building the united states.

so yes, thanks germany.

I'm thinking you use exactly the same kind of strawman he and his supporters would use instead of actually educating yourself on the issue, like the intellectually bankrupt welfare queens you are

He sold himself to kikes.

They didn't finish paying us until 2006.

...

>that Muhreen bit.
